These mountain ranches are fed by irrigation water from local reservoirs, which collect and hold seasonal spring run off water and slowly release these water rights to the surrounding ranches throughout the summer growing season. The winter's snow fall heavily dictates how productive the next summer will be for these mountain ranches.
