Yeah, based on that they have a right, and I personally support it, but we have to keep in mind that upward of a thousand people will be negatively effected by this, traffic, noise, pollution, increased rent, and a lot of shit that they would have to go through.

@lukecrout5894 And they chose to move next to Disney on their own merits and now they have to deal with the park inevitably expanding. Sorry but Disney was there when it was nothing but Orange groves so anyone who moved into a house after the opening of the park made their to choice to deal with it.

Considering it took them five years to build the Tron coaster in Orlando, I wouldn't count on anything opening before 2030. Meanwhile, Universal builds Epic Universe - an entire new massive theme park plus external infrastructure, hotels and roads in about three years. Disney has been a joke for a LONG TIME now.

Before Disneyland, that entire area was orange groves and farms. Everything that has come up around Disneyland has come up because Disneyland is there. The people living around it chose to be there. This expansion is really needed, as the parks continue to get more crowded.

They already get payed enough. 20 an hour to scoop popcorn is a great pay rate. How about California stops voting democrat and loving their inflation and high taxes and giving illegal immigrants free living and THEN people could pay their rent. It’s not a pay rate issue. It’s a political issue with the whole corrupt state of California.

Disney, like a job at Starbucks, isn't meant to be a lifelong bread earner but an entry level position. I feel for those people but they can get that pay nearly anywhere in CA so it's ultimately there choice to live in their cars in a very expensive county when they could make that minimum wage go alot further if they chose to move somewhere else

For those claiming Disney is encroaching on Anaheim: The Mouse was there first. Anaheim grew around Disneyland, which before was mostly orange groves. In fact, DisneyWorld exists because Anaheim squeezed in on Disneyland and caused Disney to find new land elsewhere. So if Disney wants to buy some land and expand their park, I say let them, better for them to do it in CA and not in FL.

Warner and Comcast are getting broken up , too. Teddy Roosevelt did the same to hundreds of companies including Standard Oil and he will be standing up in his grave and applauding. We don't use the word consumer in this country either and breaking up those companies will only help the public with more competition. Hope you get TCM because that Hollywood is coming back with the major film studios going back to the families of those great studio chiefs like Fox's Darryl F. Zanuck, the eponymous Jack L. Warner, and the great Louis B. Mayer of MGM. The classic Studio System will be returning taking Hollywood back to its golden age during the 1930s and 40s and movie stars will be under contract to the studios again with MGM once again back on top with "More stars than there are in the heavens."
