My problem with that statement is that he felt he was the exception because he's a corrections officer when in reality... NO INNOCENT BLACK MAN deserves to be treated like a criminal.

After an innocent citizen is attacked, beaten, and kidnapped, the police department has no legal authority to defend these employees who have broken the law... They legally have to be tried in a court of law, and we the people need to stand up together and make that happen.
When you are out of uniform you are just another black man. Sun down or sunset it does not matter. President Obama is not the cause of black people getting beat. Why because he was getting beat himself in the House because he was black. The House Republican and some of the rest said President Obama was only going to be a one term president. The republican stated they were not going to work with him no matter what. This is one of the main reasons that it was hard for him to get anything done, plus as a black people did not let our requests made known. So the suspect fled and possibly went into the super market. I'm curious, the man was shopping, how did he "look" like the suspect? This seems like a BS excuse to attack someone. When an officer violates their oath to protect and serve their community and put the community in harms way, you have tarnished your duties as a police officer and should be fired. Trust between the community and law enforcement should not be a question. Unfortunately, firing a police officer for not doing their jobs is unthinkable in our current society.

There is so much wrong with this. For one thing, they were chasing a shoplifting suspect and their plan was to beat him bad enough to put him in the hospital? And that's not even addressing the fact that they were attacking a fellow officer. I can understand why he broke down, it must be such a jolt to his dignity and a betrayal. He scoops the cash from the register and runs. The police see it and chase him. Another white man is just walking by at another street where the robber goes. The suspect vanishes into an ally. The police get to the street and see the other white man and immediately jump him and cuff him. The innocent guy is just screwed at that moment. This is why we have the courts.
