That tank looks beautiful as always. Great footage! Really here to say thank you! Your philosophical and psychological musings resonate with me. I work a pretty traumatic job and I find a lot of calm and comfort in my nature aquariums. You inspire me to connect more deeply with those environments. From the depths of me, thank you for sharing like you do. You are one of a kind my man. Cheers!

Absolutely gorgeous tank. When you sit and watch you enter that world, not so much an escape but a tiny journey. That's what life is, a big compilation of tiny journeys. Happiness is not elation but, contentment, acceptance and appreciation of of what you have been gifted.

There is nothing more beautiful than a scape that has matured and been allowed to evolve over time.

Absolut! Ich überlege mir schon seit einiger Zeit ebenfalls ein OaseHighline400 zuzulegen, um dieses Layout zu kopieren! Dabei dachte ich immer, ich hätte in den 80er Jahren genug Echinodorus gesehen!

Hey George, my dad is creating an aquascape for discus. I was wondering if these crypts/sword plants can survive temps of 84°F? Thanks!

    Hello George
I have a 19 litre Fluval tank which I will using solely for easy plants; no fish.
I have a small air stone which I can install.
Do I need to run the water pump 24/7, or can I turn it off overnight ?
Many thanks for your inspirational videos.
    Francis

This is really a beautiful tank. There's a lot of energy in that space. It's really an artistic achievement and looks like and I'm sure it is, such a healthy environment for your fish and plants. Feels like it is an effortless experience for you, but maybe that's not accurate.
Maybe it's just me, but keeping aquariums will only provide the happiness a person works for in terms of real patience and a willingness to really learn.
I have such intense anxiety it's hard to start up maintaining my aquariums, but once I begin I can really get momentum and improve a tank. But it isn't just an easy snap thing to do. Over quite a long time now though, some of my tanks seem to have more balance and have become much less demanding. Then without so much algae and the tension of doing intense clean ups maintaining the aquarium is really so much easier....much more positivity.

It looks so good mate! Love the fish choices too! It’s hard for me to choose but I still think your aquascaper 1200 was my favorite ever of yours right before you broke it down! This is a very close second though!

Exactly George, that's what it is. How much tranquillity this hobby has brought into my life is simply hard to overstate. And that it was the small, imperceptible steps taken every day that brought you closer to nature. With the benefit of hindsight (some of them years so turbulent that it's a wonder how you managed to survive it all), you suddenly notice a hidden part of yourself in all of this, and how much of it has remained in you. It seems then that for such a something that is capable of forming a human being the word "hobby" is simply too petty. You are filled with a sense of integration, you yourself are an element of real synergy for yourself. Isn't that wonderful?

He hit the nail on the head. The reason i got into planted aquariums is to escape my ''thinking brain'', as well as get thru these New England winters. Seeing a touch of green when everything's dark and grey, helps greatly.
