Black Widow Egg Sac Removal

My Black Widow spider laid an egg sac, her first since I've had her. I took it away and I am going to let the babies hatch and raise a few to adulthood if I can.

Awesome, that's a class spider. If I can offer advice though, I had a jumping spider laid eggs a while back, and the hatchlings are super tiny, if those spiderlings are similar they may get out through that hole, my advice is to put a fine material over it like tights or something :) Good luck with the spiderlings.

Good tip there u best to be safe than sorry u don’t want baby’s running around the house for sure . U can get like mesh from eBay too tbh it is really good and u can see through it

Anyone have a mom get pissed off for days bc of this? Ya my brown widow is PISSED. Black widow i caught as a juvenile before she mated thank god.
