I encountered you in the middle of this night and I haven't succeed to quit watching your videos yet. İt seems that you will continue to give loads of usefull tips. I hope ı will upgrade my english from b1 to b2 in a short time thanks to your videos.
Thanks Wes. It's something true that when it comes to understand the movies or tv shows it becomes harder to our ears and Brain to distinguish the words and phrases. I think one other reason is that in movies we often have a lot of background sound that makes it hard for us. I usually understand RUclips videos pretty good but movies are a whole 'nother animal. Everything is as fast as the speed of light. 😅
Thanks a bunch for making the video on connected speech and breaking it down succintely in a way that anybody can wrap their head around it. It's utterly critical that everybody master connected speech If they're itching to understand fast speaking natives. So I can't thank you enough. Please make more videos on that since such videos are pretty much scarce on RUclips.
Thanks Wes! One of the best lessons I've had. I've been looking for content like that and that was an amazing lesson. It helped me a lot with some questions I had for a long time. Hope you make more videos like that.

Hi. I have problem understanding songs in English. I've been living in the U.S. for 35 years. I have college education. I started learning English when I was 12 years old. The primary language at home is English. I have no problem understanding TV shows, movies, News, and scientific/documentary programs but I have problem understanding songs. I have to look at the lyrics to understand them. Any idea? Thanks.
I think it is not a big deal. Turkish is my native language and ı still can't figure out lyrics even if I listen the song more than once. It is okey. No worries.
This is a song Vicki listens to often. Vicki is Native English speaker. She learned German A1 and 2 from native German speaker. The singers are from Boston. I. don'y know how to spell the state that Boston is on. This is fast music. ruclips.net/video/aTafZRecy2k/видео.html
