It is sooo hot in Vegas in the Summer. July and August games would be miserable, especially day games!
They will play all games at night. Better than playing any time of day in a shit hole ballpark in a shit hole city.
Doom
What about the Laughlin As? That could be what Laughlin needs to make a comeback
The thumbnail made me think Rodney Dangerfield was being interviewed on the set of Caddyshack.
They should tour with the Savannah Bananas for a couple seasons……
It would actually be 78 games not 156 half the games are away.
He's including the AAA team too, genius.
Good luck playing there in June July and August when it's 110 to 118 degrees outside
The A’s minor league team plays in Summerlin. What’s the difference?
The Aviators draw better than the A's do in Oakland.
would you like me to explain why this is? gladly. in backwards chronological order; they deliberately tanked the roster (traded away good players before contracts were even up) and then raised prices on tickets and parking. (to fabricate a local support issue) who does that? did i mention the ferral animals living inside the stadium? (just off the top of my head; cats and opossums and they keep multiplying) how bout the plumbing issues that have been going on since george steinbrenner was still alive; it's disgusting. especially after eating beefy nachos and drinking beer. make sense now? even the mighty st louis cardnal fan base wouldn't show up to this in such droves. do you think they would?
It was like the Vet in Philly. The Phillies sucked but people still showed up. @@DamitFeelsGoodtobeaRaider
did the philly have the feral animal or plumbing problems that oakland has? would you show up in a place lie tnis i really want to know.@@whobilly1
did you even read my comment? there's a lot more going on (foe an extended period of time) than the team sucking.@@whobilly1
The Twins and Braves have their AAA team in the same city, just keep the Aviators there!
Vegas ❤ their Aviators!
Who’s paying for the stadium?
Exactly, no public funding, no corporate welfare for the A's welfare queens! Separately, how much will it cost to get alternative sources of water when the lake reaches deadpool? It's estimated it will cost up to $5 billion to drill water from aquifers in Northern Nevada to supply Southern Nevada. A few years ago the executive director of the Southern Nevada Water Authority said before she retired, that Las Vegas can't conserve it's way out of water shortages. So yep, baseball is so important, put everything else on hold!
Taxpayers as usual 👈
Double headers! Minor then Major league games on the same day!
can't do it with the weather unless you're having 10 pm minor league games
2023 will be the last season in Oakland you watch
So be it
Might as well use the park…and save some money .
There are several scenarios. 1: 3 more years in Oakland. 2: 1 more in Oakland and 2 in aviators stadium. 2a: no more in Oakland and 3 at Aviators Stadium. 3: Chase Field ( Diamondbacks Stadium).
Chase is out. Its just not a good ball park (sorry Phoenix)
Chase is Wrigley Field compared to Oakland. It is also better then temperatures > 110 degrees
Why would they go to chase field do you think? That’s the first I’ve heard
Chase is pure supposition and a long shot, but climate wise it makes sense ( certainly better then 3 years in Oakland).
The Athletics lease in Oakland expires in 2024? Don’t the A’s have to play in Oakland in 2024?
Hay FOX5 News, since you're such a big booster for the A's, go out and raise the $1 billion for their crack pipe dream of a domed stadium. No public funding, no sales, property, casino or hotel room tax diversion for a baseball stadium.
#SanAntonioCouldBeAnOptionIfTheDealFallsTHroughSoon!
Rooted in Oakland....
former world series champions always turning out young top talent ...been a baseball fan since early 70s..the A,s deserve better .the city and county politicians proved without a shadow of a doubt that they don't care they had their chances .welcome las vegas
A professional MLB team? Unfortunately, Vegas is getting another AAA team, barely, with the current A's. (From a scorn A's fan in NorCal). 😢
I agree. The A's are trash and should have stayed in Oakland where they belong. I would rather have had an expansion team. If anything.
Omg let it go! Oakland sucks (As fan since ‘89). They are to blame too and don’t let emotions go high. I’m happy they’ll get a new stadium and wait a few years because our office knows how to build from the ground up its in our history
With this owner the team will continue to be a double A team long after the stadium is built. This owner has no desire to compete. Just don’t get your hopes up Vegas baseball fans
Oakland wants the A's out of town yesterday.
Let’s get the As can’t wait and let’s keep the aviators too I support the team great energy and great times!
Las Vegas = Sports Capital Of The World
I hate to admit it but the Sports Capital is LA. Dodgers, Rams, Lakers, Clippers, Kings, Chargers, Bruins and of course Trojans
@@davidbrown386 LA has no F1😎
@@kuratainoma852 And no lacrosse.
@@davidbrown386 hey, you forgot LAFC and the Galaxy. They matter too!
Other than the few times they will play the Dodgers every season I couldn't care less about the A's even if I tried. A majority of Las Vegas is a fan of teams from the cities in which they moved from or region. I'm sure there are A's fans here but not enough to even fill the Aviators park by themselves. But Las Vegas is so desperate to be seen as a pro sports town it would have bent over backwards to get any team.
Well i think you might be surprised. First the stadium will only be 30-35k seating which is smaller by MLB standards. And you will draw quite a few visiting fans as you are a destination city. You will have a lot of visiting fans at the park. But you are a Dodgers fan so Why would you care about the A's
pretty soon nba team
@@tomstevens7452 Correct. As mentioned previously I couldn't care any less about the A's if I tried. The A's are not going to have a hometown advantage. Just like the Raiders do not. But then again, it is the A's so it's not like they are going to be relevant for the next twenty years.
you moved here from Cali didn't you.....
@@lordbraunschweiger7814 Did me saying I was a Dodgers fan give it away?
MLB will make the AAA team leave, they always do
🤬💔😭
2024-2027 = 3 year gap.. learn math bro..
2024 is the last season in Oakland as the lease expires. The A’s new Las Vegas stadium will be ready in 2027. So the Athletics will have to play 2025 and 2026 in another stadium.
@@Dept246 MLB won’t want them to play another full season in Oakland; they’ll play in the aviators for 3 years.
Oakland until 2027
