You can tell that MMC actually puts a lot of effort into these, they are not perfect, but the creators obviously love IDW
Agreed, and they obviously think in Unconventional ways. Making the legs the Tank Turret is such a simple solution, but who would have thought of that?

One point I like to make but I absolutely have to applaud MMC for their design especially with the transformation such as the legs transforming into the turrets instead of the usual "turret backpack".
I know right. It's not even complex, it's just something simple that no one thought to do before.
That Space tank alt form is Beautiful. Love how the legs become the sides/head of the turret. It also reminds me of the Droid hovertank from PS2 Star Wars The Clone Wars game.
I don't remember that tank, but I'm pretty sure I played that game.

Man I got really shocked seeing real working tank treads on an action figure!
I know right. They are insane, and I expect durable as well, I don't see these coming apart like other figures with them.
Holy shit. I thought it looked strange, but the beyond legendary articulation, great engineering and awesome tank mode won me over. Beautiful figure, MMC did it again
I didn't think it was going to be as good as it was when I picked it up, but even I who has high expectations for MMC was blown away.

Except most figures don't have Maximum Bendage.
There will be a wider restock next year, with a slightly different colour scheme. One of the MMC designers confirmed it on Twitter. It just sold that well.

@@PerspectiveEnd Yeah she's definitely a decent piece. Personally my 'new toy bias' has faded after a while and I'm no longer enamoured with her, but hey she does what MMC does best; simple but effective.
@@DrLockdown I've had it for about a month now and it's only grown on me over time.
This is the first time a review has made me want to buy a third party figure! From the cool robot mode, the articulation, the awesome tank mode, to the implication of deathsaure’s wife being a deadly taskmaster transformer is just awesome!
And it's funny that the video that made you want to do that was one of mine, since I'm usually trying to talk people out of wanting something, and definitely usually not trying to talk people into spending money.
When you mentioned the working treads on the shoulders, all I was thinking about was the pain of the treads on the Toyworld Devastator.
These are a lot better, I don't even know if it's possible for these to come apart. Those treads on Devestator are such a pain in the ass.
I can vouch for that. The treads on the Toyworld do suck. They should’ve gone with rubber like Zeta after their first run of Bruticus. Not a big improvement, but an improvement nonetheless.
0:50 to put it simply, Eris is an OC from MMC themselves, and she can scan other Transformers and get their abilities. In this case, she scanned Kultur (MMC's Tarn) so that's why she has his features.

It's because you thought it was impossible till this day.
It's simple, it has that "wheeeee" energy like free-rolling wheels
There actually was a transformer who could shapeshift in the RID 2015 show called Psuedo (who was most likely inspired by Makeshift from TFP). After Pseudo looked at someone, he could transform into them and copy them with the same vehicle mode and voice. The only downside being is that he couldn't copy minicons which came back to bit him when he turned into drift who had minicons at his disposal in the show. He could also turn into non cybertronian objects like an old coal train and maybe others that we haven't seen since he was a "one and done" villain.
Just thought I might mention it.
Some how I never heard of that character? I watched that show for like the first 20 episodes.

@@PerspectiveEnd he should have, dude was cool and he had a super powerful ability. Sadly most RID 2015 villains were one and done characters with the exception of ones like stealjaw, thunderhoof, the crab guy, the porcupine dude and soundwave (who we shall not speak of)

Frankly, I'm surprised how little 3RD Party does OCs, there's a LOT you can do with that as well as use it to make your line stand out by expanding upon what Hasbro has made. And it'd be nice seeing more new interpretations, like the series with all the steam-powered vehicles.
Quite Frankly I get why. You have to have a Reputation like MMC for people to want it.

I know right, and it's not even hard. The arms compress a little, the kibble hinges around to the front and the legs form the turret, and it's just so simple.
I’ve never Bought third party since I only collect CHUG scale, but mmc are making the case for it, I’d love to see them make a starscream or galvatron
They made an AMAZING Bruticus, so if you are thinking about it that's a good place to start.
@@PerspectiveEnd the bruticus does look fantastic truly, but It seems too big for chug figures, and of course it’s pretty expensive. And since MMC are going for more IDW designs, they need to do an IDW starscream, I’d put that in a glass case

Trick I found to peg the cannon in tank mode is remove the barrels and stick the body cannon in the rear-end and peg the legs in and put the barrels back on. Works really well for me at least.

They really are. I don't know that anyone could have missed that connection.
I think some of the main issues lobbied at figures with these types of feminine builds are because of the G1 designs, the likes of Arcee, Elita and the rest are incredibly difficult to get right without some huge backpack due to the impossible nature of the transformation needed to get from sleek car with no bits of robot on it to a slim body that has no bits of car anywhere on it. Slim, feminine builds like these can be done without needing a massive backpack for sure but things like this or, say, Prime Arcee or Windblade are not only unashamed to have vehicle parts on their robot modes but are also seemingly designed from the ground up using clever engineering and design to feasibly be able transform from one mode to another, hopefully something hasbro attempts to do next time they make a line of figures that aren’t based on stuff we’ve already seen
I mean Arcee had the Shoulder Pylons as well just like this one, so if they can turn this into a tank, I feel like they could make the those work for that Altmode too.
@@PerspectiveEnd I mean they definitely could but it would go against their goal of making the robot modes 100% accurate since part of the robot barring the back would have to have kibble so sadly they wouldn’t likely do it
The whole use kibble as kibble is a reason why I love the Michael bay movie designs
The bay designs tend to be over rife with it. It's cool to get accents that tell you what it turns into in a spot here or there. But the bay designs tend to have so much of it, it would interfere with every aspect of their lives.

I don't know that it's quite my Head Canon I think that's just kind of what the character is supposed to be.

Man this figure looks amazing, same as the review. Nice job perspective. PS the problem with the legs going out to the side is the same problem I have with my MP 13 soundwave but 2 times wore

To be fair, this figure is much bigger than your average Deluxe class lady-bot, so there’s a lot more real estate for engineering. Although that’s true of some Masterpiece style Arcee’s and they still tend to fall into the same pitfalls.
Most all fembots no matter the size fall into that trap, including the MPs, like the Bigtiddybird Nicee.

Yeah, I think the difference here being this is based on just observing others, not making contact with them.
And yes, it's frustrating that she was only available in such a limited capacity.

I think you're right about this being a form of Esmeral, I compared the head sculpt to an official image of Esmeral, and it's a perfect match!
Yeah there are some definite changes but it's very much her head.

They don't always make perfect stuff, but when they make good stuff, its reallllyyyyyy good.
One of the best, if not the best 3rd party company.
Their early stuff was pretty ropey, but I don't think they've made a bad product in a few years.
I just got a version of the Eris Kultur that is much darker and have more black on the figure. I got mine from the show z store but I love it is my fav figure in my collection. Christmas is a nice way to get stuff.

Its from the combiner wars line and its more of an m1 abram tank than an H tank
Yes, but those are rubber single piece treads and while they roll good for for normal treads the don't roll half as good as these do.
I love to think of this as Tarn in the TFP universe. I bought this to go on my tfp/idw shelf and I think it works perfectly. Tfp Tarn is a women and I love that.
I like this as what it is, that Deathsaurus's wife is a super dangerous ass kicker.

I love IDW and MMC.
I do as well.
Maybe her smaller guns aren't fusion cannons but something like null rays. Considering her main gimmick is mimicking fighting styles she would probably want a weapon with more finesse.
Also I love how she's manages to have a slender figure while still transforming into a convincing medium tank.
I feel like that's something she'll get when she inevitably Copies Starscream directly.

This character came from the depths and is the child born from Tarn and Deathsaurus' hate of each other. 😂 That is the only way this character can exist.
I mean the stated story, is that Deathsaurus's wife, is just Taskmaster, though they probably did get up to something freaky while she was copying his abilities.
In transformers animated elita-1 has the copycat ability but damn this is so much better

Your actual problem with its crotch is the thighs are so big (I refuse to say that "t" word) that it makes said crotch that much more...I can't figure out a word to describe.
