I owned a UNI-T81B some years ago and although it was usable it had a hard time triggering on non-periodic signals. I "upgraded" to a UNI-T UTD1025 later which is a bit more comparable with the Owon and Hantek you are reviewing there although its bandwidth is less. It might not be a Fluke or Agilent but it is very capable and usable, at least for my purposes. Nice review, nice shack....keep up the good work Tony! Best wishes.

The Uni-T is an earlier generation scope. Its battery compartment is quite small, and has difficulty accommodating rechargeable AAs (which are frequently a bit larger than regular AAs). The Uni-T's screen is b/w only. Mine went bad prematurely, resulting in very inaccurate multimeter measurements.

Many complain about the sloppy solder work in OWON as compared to Hantek. It's hard to say how it may affect the durability of the former in the long run. There was also a video showing that ADC got pretty warm in the OWON though that was found in a later OWON 100MHz model. However the larger screen size of the OWON is so tempting...

Does the Hantek oscilloscope function maintain calibration stability after say 10min of use, as the OWON, after 5-6min will begin to develop errors up to 15% when trying to measure signal voltage using the oscilloscope divisions scale, drifting far from where it should be. The DMM is fine, but scope wasn’t. You have to regularly recalibrate while using. Maybe some precision part in it is not temperature compensated?

Hi Tony, congratulations on sharing your comments. In your opinion, which is the best Portable Oscilloscope?
    I compared some specs:
    - Battery consumption: Hantek
    - Software: Hantek
    - Maximum range: Owon
    - Display: Owon
    - Multimeter: Owon is more accurate? What are 20,000 counts?
I didn't see if it's possible to export data via csv file. Do you have any information about this?
I believe Owon Scope is a new project than Hantek Scope. Therefore, Owon needs more updates to remain more stable. How can I update Owon Scope?
I prefer to buy Owon Scope, I believe it's better.

I tried to make output voltage measurements from a line interactive UPS, in battery mode I measured approximately 180 V with an approximate sinusoidal waveform. Hello.. Yes the Owon says: 20.000 Counts true RMS .. btw, if you have the schematics, can you please share with me?

@@TonyAlbus No, i don't have it. But usually these handheld combo DMM-scopes have separate DMM daughterboard (at least, my CEM DT--9989 and Hantek DSO1202B have) which are rather similar to pure DMMs (CEM DT-9989 has the same DMM as DT-9979) I guess your Owon part should be similar to Owon B-35t DMM. My Hantek DSO-1202B does not specify if DMM is TRMS, and there is contradicting data in the Internet. Big thanks for your comparison!

The Hantek is not fused, so if the OWON is a clone then its a better clone.

Agree, i did not even spot the FUSED and UNFUSED, thanks, i like the bigger screen and software UI is just more easy, also the waves are more stable..

Some other comparisons, Capacitance: Hantek 100uF vs 2mF Owon; Resistance: Hantek 40MOhm vs 100MOhm Owon; Diode: Hantek max 1V vs 2V Owon.
Hantek does not have a fuse, so it is easy to damage if the wrong scale is plugged in.
      I choose Owon
