I already found this, you can detatch anchor pins to a stick and then detatch scrap the stick and the anchor pins stay attached to your build without the connector pieces

Do note that some people don’t allow anchor pins, you should show a model that uses magnets instead
(Tractor beams if your a scrub)

Instead of flat connectors could you use energy connectors? It would be a bit flimsy but I’d imagine that would add to the distraction of the aim
