Nice dish....but my wife who doesn't like spicy food threw some Sichuan chili crisp on top. Which makes me think one might as well make Mapo Tofu.... It was tasty though!
what's the difference between soy bean paste and black bean paste? when i search it up online it seems to be the same thing. is soy bean paste non spicy doubanjiang?

This looks like a non-spicy mapo tofu. I make something similar with Mexican chorizo instead of the ground pork.
