Baby Hyrax Squeaks When Close - Squiggy always did this when she was tiny.

I recently paid to have my hard drive repaired and found this footage of me and Squiggy heading to bed. She rarely stayed up - usually if I got into bed she would go directly to my feet and sleep on my ankles or between my feet. But once in a while she would hang out near my face and talk.
I'm not sure why she talked so much in general, but I imagine its because I talked to her so much. It's all a bit of a mystery - but the commentary mostly occured when I spoke her name, or when she got near my face. I really don't hear wild hyrax talk this much. They have ALL MANNER of sounds, but few of them are squeaky like dialogue patterns that Squig is showing off here.
As you can see it was a very close relationship we had when she was tiny. It was all confusing and strange for me. I didn't treat her like a pet, I didn't try to train her - or make her do human things - I took her outside to browse on wild food for most of her first year. Eventually she more or less demanded to eat my food (but of course, only fruits and veggies and some grains).
But otherwise we just lived in the same house and sometimes she wanted to be on me or near me. I assumed it was for heat, but after the first year there seemed to be an actual relationship. It took me a while to really warm up to her - I assumed I should keep an emotional distance - which just wasn't possible after a while. She was mighty special to be around.
