Having run with the guys using the slot machines, I was very pleased to see that the lightweight is a comparable motor with a bit of extra torque. I also saw that the stronger rotor from the regular motor is available for use in the lightweight. I'd rather spend my money on that if I needed it, then I would on a hop up kit that gives marginal returns.
@@baxrok2. If you race off road, the stronger rotor would be beneficial. I have been thinking about running a test on that to see what it does. Maybe I will have to do that test soon, and swap rotors.
That would be a good one. I might start doing 13.5's in a few months. I'm still trying to get all the 17.5's. I know the stock spec runs around 29,000 RPM's, so I'm guessing the Liteweight will be around 29,500 to 30,000. However, the stock spec will have more torque.
Amazon has the lightweight one on sale today for $70 shipped. I wish they had the they regular spec one on sale too lol. I want another one for the T6.4. Im running a whitz racing competition motor 13.5 in the T6.4 now. I dont think the lightweight would be the best option for a stadium truck on carpet. I hope they put the spec on on sale tmw
That's a good price. Your correct on not using the lite weight for the T6.4. However, you will find it to be almost a torquey, if not more, as most of the motors out there.
@wutupclegg6618 interesting. I definitely want the stock spec for my t6.4 but maybe it's a better motor than the whitz racing. It has the hypersonic whitz racing 13.5 motor currently. I haven't tested the whitz to know what the specs are nor have a seen any videos on the motor. I bought the car off another you tuber that's local to me, Razor RC, and he sold it to me with all the electronics in it for 400. A steal lol. But I think he has a partnership with whitz so he runs some of their stuff.
@wutupclegg6618 I ordered a lightweight 13.5 lol I couldn't pass up the deal and it's Amazon so returns are easy. I'm curious to see it up against the Whitz Hyperspec Competition Motor that sells for $100. Do you have any experience with the Whitz brand?
@@bonesracin3255 My track closed down, so I took feedback from 7 different racers. They all agreed that the Surpass V6 motor was the best overall. The thing that they all said stood out the most is the torque.

Hello Dru180sx. Rotor asymmetry is the difference in strength between the north pole and south pole magnets on the rotor. The lower the number the better. Ideally, you want the two poles to be exactly the same.

why on earth is the stock timing so low? only pulling less than 3 amps. they are losing out on so much potential, like 2-3k rpm.
I was told, once before, but I can't remember what it was. All companies do it.

It's a difference of a half ounce, from what I weighed them at. They both pull harder than a Certified Slot Machine.
