Thanks for visiting I heard about all the rain, crazy we had this huge thunder storm above our heads, and next to no rain here. Your way so much rain, so different. Love Carolyn
When we get old..😅 I think you are getting younger with time. Anyone who goes back and watches your older videos can see the change. Great legs, Carolyn. 🦵 I know this is an Orchid channel but it's just my 2 cents. You look amazing. ❤ as do the Orchids. Bring on 🍁 Fall. 🍁
LOL Well believe me there is lotsa wrinkles, when you loose so much weight, mostly glad I did it though as better for my health. Appreciate the laugh I got for your 2 cents that was worth a lot!!
Your orchids are beautiful. I think the orchid would love that repot. I need to get brave and drill some holes to try to do what you’ve done. Love your videos. I think with all you do you don’t have to workout ,you’ve already worked so hard. Which when we grew up ,fitness places weren’t around like now. We worked in yard and or walked more. But yoga is a good quiet stretch. You keep cool and prayers for you ,Jack ,Mom and little Maggie 🏡🐶🌲🌻🏔️.
Thankyou, so excited to see how they get going this fall. I am lucky Jack is drilling holes. Never felt like exercise classes, but you are right they are all over the place now. Mum used to walk a tread mill till maybe 10 years ago. I could never get into that. Get lotsa walks in with Maggie when not too Hot. and once a week moving orchids to watering and back Love Carolyn
Girl you are looking good! Enjoyed your video. When you were watering your orchids Maggie looked so cute checking out what you were doing her little nose smelling the air it was so cute. I used to watch the orchid whisperer but she hasn't put out a video in a very long time but she really has beautiful orchids too. It's been really cool here too in Coquitlam and I'm really enjoying it. Hugs Bette😊
Thank you so much! Maggie is a little Treasure to us all. There is time she has been like Lassy (do you remember Lassy?) If Mom is yelling for help downstairs she heres it before us and comes to us barking until we follow her. Priceless she is and very smart. Mummys' girl Love Carolyn
@@jacolynsorchids1361948friends lol yes I remember Lassie. Watched it every Saturday. Did you ever watch the Rifleman. I was madly in love with his son lol
Happy to hear you’ve enjoyed some cooler weather! The decanter turned out perfectly lovely - hope you find the video when you last potted it up! 😊 I am lime you - no formal exercise. I just try to make the most of household chores, etc. Love your spirit! Take good care! Hugs..
Lovely to see you again, also little Maggie, great to hear the weather is cooling down. Your orchids are looking fantastic Carolyn. Love the new vase, so pretty. Hope you are all keeping well. xxx
We all are keeping well, Mum having a little more trouble getting around, so do not go too far frome home for too long. Thanks for asking Much Love Carolyn
Awesome! Thank you! Hugs from Sunny Salmon Arm, BC Interior. LOL We are cooling off here, big change as Fall is in the Air. We had one night of rain first in months, and that was it back to sun Hugs Carolyn
You gave me a good Laugh 😃 Mailing prices are Huge! Crazy Prices !!! No I do not think Jack would be interested, he has so many of his own hobbies going Love Carolyn
I personally would love it if you would go through all the steps you go through to plant an orchid. The pot. Why with holes. Why not without holes. What pluses/minuses of having holes. The bark. A dark bark. A light bark. The size of bark to use. Cleaning all the bark out of the roots. What to do with the old bark. Soaking of bark before planting an orchid. Extra fluids you use and when. Like the magnesium you mentioned and amounts to use and when. Any of the bloom powder for orchids? Roots to remove. Their appearance. Problem causes of spongy roots that are rotting. Sorry for all the questions. You cover some of this each time you plant a new orchid but not a start to finish expiation. I usually find three or four videos to watch and that’s just too much busy work searching. I love to see one of your videos that covers A to Z of orchid planting. You may have one and I just haven’t found it yet. Thanx so much. You are so informative and easy to listen to. Oh and explain about using lava rock. I have several friends that are starting to TRY to grow orchids and we all call each other and get support about the steps to go about planting. I hope that wouldn’t be a huge undertaking and you could help us newbies with steps and explanations. Thanx again!
Hi Katie will have to count them, for sure. but certainly enough LOL I am looking forward to watching spikes come in the fall winter, and flowers for atleast 5 months, that is what makes it all worth it. My orchids were saved by the huge old humidifier. I would not have used that in the house, but on the patio was a good idea. It was so hot in the house and is wonderful it is cooling now. thanks for comment, sorry to hear you lost some, but glad you survived it Love Carolyn
Hi Carolyn, I like your videos. This may sound bad, but I've noticed some very tiny gnat flying around the top of the bark on a couple of my orchid. Just wondering if you have had this some problem and what to do to get rid of them. Keep Up the great videos, God's blessing, Diane
OK they usually hang around pots that are on the damp side. They hat dry pots. Anytime I have had them flying around and settling near a plant, good time to check inside pot. Gnats and fruit flys a problem always, especially in fall when they try and get in the house. That is when I bring ot my bee bottles with hole in bottom fill with apple cider vinegar, or red winde. Sometimes I add something sweet to it. Love Carolyn
I love this, I was concerned about the glass vases as contenders for orchids. But you are addressing the issues of drainage I was concerned about. Carolyn did you start with MSU fertilizer yet. I would like to know how you like it⁉️. I have been using for over a year now,and see so much progress with my orchids. The directions are to use One tsp in gal of water,I’m using 1/2 tsp in gal with 1/4 tsp cali magic weekly. In fall it’s directed to use 3/4 tsp in gal . Interested in your opinion 🥰
I have been using MSU fertilizer most of winter Got it from Clouds Orchids, now they are no longer around. Very happy with it and will be looking for somewhere else to buy it. Maybe Roehampton Orchids. This summer I used Shultz and extra sea weed extract and callimagic to help with the heat and growth in the heat Your measurements sound Very good Love Carolyn
Yes, go for it and repot that big orchid. Here in Ontario we have had so much rain all summer, just too much. Nice to visit with you.
