so question: the beat is great, mixed great, but considering the main sample melody is still recognizable standalone, how would that work if somebody else had made a similar beat? what are the legals there? not dinging at your music im just wondering because i find alot of samples that sound fire and would love to use them but the problem i come across is that alot of them, arent necessarily polished, but sound like theyd only need a beat, automation, and variation, and few other things, but i just feel like i cant do that
As a DJ I mix and make what I feel sounds jammin. If the melody fits without a chop or change i still use it. Main reason being most of my music wont be released publicly but used in my performances or for private listening. If you are making music to release everything you make to the public go as far as you can to make it distinct enough without loosing the groove that inspired you. Go where the inspiration takes you always. Peace.
This sums up exactly what I would say anyway. I don’t think about who else is making beats or what else has been released. I make whatever I feel in that moment for myself, even if it’s been done before. Because it’s what I feel. Then I worry about changing stuff later (IF I need to).
these samples are royalty free! means anybody can use it as much as they want, as long as you can prove that you paid for it, everythings fine... Ive been on splice for years and from time to time I hear samples in the charts that many producers use at the same time... this is the game... no producer today makes everything from scratch himself.. you don't have to reinvent the wheel here.. it's more about the composition, and your individual choice of samples that make it unique again, and you own that composition.
Cool beat Thanks for explaining what and how to use splice. I'd just like to know, can you use the windows shortcuts, control c for copy, and controle v for paste, rather than dragging and dropping the splice sounds into the daw? I'd really like to give splice a try, but I am blind, so dragging and dropping is a wall in my workflow. Thanks
So this is probably going to sound stupid... But do you use splice to make the beats, or do you import the sounds to something else to make the beats? I'm confused. Everyone is saying that they are making beats using splice, but the beat maker in there can only make like a 5 second beat for me. Someone please help.
Splice is only sounds, as the video shows. You download samples, drums, etc etc and put them into your DAW to make the beat there. They aren’t saying they’re using splice to make the beats in that way. Just mean they’re using splice sounds to make the beat.
I love how excited he gets over the beat coming together 😂 Great video! Questions though: What do credits mean? If you're paying for the service monthly, what are they for? Also, how do you know if you're picking the right keys to match like vocals and bass?
The ONE HUGE PROBLEM with splice is devices like akai mpc get errors with the ridiculously stupidly long file names.. So you sync your stuff and then you don't know some didn't work until you go to use them...It's a bitch.. then you gotta shut down your project go to computer to transfer them like by cable or SD card anyway.
@@IAMLXGEND I haven't tried in awhile I've been just using usb cable and going back and transferring everything with a long name into a different save location on the mpc than the "invalid"ones because replacing them they were still invalid.. so I use them from another location I move them into from the Mac, it's annoying. Have to instead of sync because from what I can remember I couldn't like access it to change it on the akai itself so either way it meant closing my stuff and going computer mode. It just says invalid file or invalid file name. Actually my FIRST thought was just change the file names.. but I couldn't find any way splice would allow me to. I never expected to have a problem changing the file names on the Mac. I dunno why I couldn't find a way. Don't get me wrong I'm coming from mostly windows my Mac is strictly music.. So if you have any tips I'll listen. Thanks. Good work.
@@IAMLXGEND More people need to be telling splice and akai to fix this. OK SO I went back to it and the reason that dosen't work is because the names of them go through your splice account. Far as I know they can't be renamed in splice only on the device the file is saved on, which is irrelevant on the mpc, the file is already invalid. In your computer there's no point, you already have to find the ones that are too long(or just do all beyond a Certain length ) and save and shut down projects go to computer download then onto it Then go to those long one's rename them and load them direct from the computer. They work even with the long name if you just load them from the computer outside of splice anyway. So renaming them actually only ADDS work since it's the same extra bullshit instead of being able to just sync it. Like come on splice just make the names shorter. Wtf. They work on the mpc switched on my own but not through splice so obviously it's a problem with how it's being communicated from splice. I wish they would get together (akai and splice) and fix it the whole having to do it all instead of just syncing for those less than 10% of your samples but still important samples with long names is so stupid and obnoxious. Gonna be dropping splice after the trial because of this crap. And the worst part people have complained and both sides just blame it on the other on various forum/ troubleshooting posts instead of just fixing it.
So you want another boring ass dude sitting at a computer saying “click here. Click here. Press this. Tada. Music.” Got it. Well get the hell of my channel cuz I’m dramatic over here I don’t do that boring beat making shit.
I love how passionate you are about it.. I feel the same way when I listen to music.. Trying to learn how to make some music now
he's celebrating himself a little too much for my feel..
6:47 this is the first time I've heard this percussion loop used in something else than a tropical house/pop beat. Great video man!
when i clicked the timestamp burger king ad popped up
why does this guy make a sponsor sound like a motivational speech

You crushed that, so tight!

Well done. Really enjoyed checking out how you put that together. Keep creating.

They probably discontinued it. I haven’t been in contact with splice in a bit.
U got skills fam
This beat is very “lofi r&b” 💎🔥
How do you match the sample in key on your daw?

when i drag and drop the loop, it simply doesnt make a sound when i try to use it, its like i dropped an empty loop
Inspirational. Thanks ❤
Glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate the comment a lot 🙏🏾☀️
Dope fam!💪🏾🚀
thank you for explaining splice :)
Love it👌🏾🔥🔥🔥
Nice product and chill sound 👍
Dope🔥
Tuuuuune! Beat!!!
Thank you
Can you opt to take ownership of a particular sample you like and want to use from splice?
This was beautiful
some sick stuffs, 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Dope
What's up sir. Are you using Catalina because my maschine is not working with it
OMG 😱 that beat is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😤
I don’t understand Splice service, you pay 💰 monthly an still need credit to get packs.
will u get a kickback if i use ur code? cuz ill be sure to recommend it to my other friends who want to get splice...
Just curious, do you have any videos on different types of mics to use?
Not 1 video on different mics but multiple videos on multiple mics.
That shit is 🔥
I love how excited he gets over the beat coming together 😂 Great video! Questions though: What do credits mean? If you're paying for the service monthly, what are they for? Also, how do you know if you're picking the right keys to match like vocals and bass?
You pay monthly for credits. Credits buy sounds. You know by knowing by ear or by what it tells you.
i got YOUR loopcloud ad before YOUR vid
It’s LoopCloud’s ad but that’s crazy 😂😂
awesome
Dope video bro, it was inspiring seeing how you were inspired and seeing your process of layering the sounds. My process is very similar.
It is showing that the code is not valid:( and lowest pack is 9.99 now
The most important sample required to do this: PASSION
🔥🔥🔥
Bro what kind of bass is this ?
I don't remember lol
how you get it from Splice to maschine?
Download. Drag. Drop.
Is the video an ad?
6:26 reggaeton?
Cool
🙏📌🔥🔥🔥🔥😎
Thanks man
How do I get 100 credits?
Somebody call Ne-Yo.
Is Splice compatible with GarageBand?
Splice isn’t a program. It’s a website to download sounds.
So it’s compatible with anything.
Oh ok I’m definitely gonna check it out, add some new sounds and more flavor to my beats. Thanks!
@@IAMLXGEND a tutorial with garageband will be nice, thanks in anticipation
