Today I drove down to Toronto and decided to stealth camp in the Rogers Centre for 24 hours and try as many different stadium foods as I could while watching the Blue Jays baseball game against the Oakland Athletics.

Those ballpark food prices are out of control, lol
$80 ticket and $90 parking to see half a game
And on top of that 30.00 for a hot dog/Beer, 80.00 for dinner, and all the other snacks paid for. I'm guessing in the $400.00 to 500.00+ range just to watch a baseball game. Now we all ask ourselves why people have so much debt xD.
He writes it all off as business expense at tax time.
Actually it was all to make a video for everyone’s enjoyment. And yes, when I fork out all this money to make a video like this I can write off most of it as video production costs 😊👍🏻

Don Juan is the best. When I worked at the MTCC (Toronto Convention Centre) I would go there for lunch every day. Don is long passed, but his children and grandchildren carry on the amazing legacy.

Might be best to plan ahead with these stealth camps so your not having to pay $80 on a ticket. I've noticed other times you didn't plan ahead to see if restaurants were open.

Thank you! I did try and buy a ticket the few nights before but the app wasn’t working right. I thought I could just buy a ticket at the ticket gate before the game but the traffic was so bad I got there late. Knowing what I know now, buying a standing room only ticket is the way to go and park outside the stadium for way less money 💰

I should have left 3 hours before like I did for the football game video. But I had to finish editing which ate up all my time
The Marriott inside the stadium is only $200 a night why wouldn't you just get a hotel room like a normal person Only a freak would sleep in the parking lot

$200 per night on Saturday and Sunday game days for any hotel window able to watch the game is bullshit. So he would still have to pay for tickets to see a baseball game.
Ken, you can't say that you're "barely getting by" and that you need a "little bit of help from a whole lot of people" and then blow hundreds of dollars on a video that will more than likely not recoup that amount.

I stayed at the hotel on the non-stadium view side and attended the Cubs series last year for 2 games. Luckily the Cubs took one of our games that we attended.

As a humongous baseball fan that’s trying to do a full 30 stadium tour, this was a great preview of what to expect. It looks very different from what I’m used to at my home park, PNC Park in Pittsburgh.
Also, why is everyone chastising Ken for paying stadium prices? He didn’t set the prices. And just because the prices are high, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t tip. It’s still the service industry.

Although it is effectively $90 for overnight parking, its hard to balk at that price when you are eating at any sports stadium, arena or ballpark for 24 hours :) :) :)

I started going to Toronto Blue Jays in 1977, their first year in the league, at Exhibition Stadium. Back then, your only food options was standard ballpark fare like peanuts, popcorn, cracker jack, french fries and soda. Of course, they sold tons of hot dogs, they used to wrap them in aluminum foil, the vendors would sell them out of coolers. You couldn't even buy beer, the government did not allow it to be sold at Ontario stadiums until the early 80's. Watching this video makes you realize how much of a ripoff going to a game is. As per the other comment, why the hell do you have to tip for someone to open up a tab on a beer can? They don't even take your money and make change, the whole ballpark is cashless. They swing around the pay kiosk after you tap your debit card with tip options of 15, 18, 20 and 25 per cent...ridiciulous. The cost of the items themselves before tip are crazy PLUS a tax on top. The Rogers Centre has a lousy atmosphere compared to Exhibition Stadium. This video is pretty depressing (and of course Ken in it makes it 100 times worse). Can wait for the Ken Domik reaction channel to this one.
US/Canadian tipping culture is out of control. I live in Australia but have visited both many times and it always takes me a while to adjust. I tried tipping someone in Italy last month (for good service) and they were almost mildly offended about it - the vibe was that they didn't need my few bucks.
Tipping for a hotdog and beer at a concession lol…. Yeah no way.
Is the tip tax deductible? Doesn't seem right since it is all discretionary.
