    These driverless vehicles don't need steering wheels no more.

    • @leonardbrinkman4410
      @leonardbrinkman4410 8 месяцев назад

      That is why Uber is going to start using self-driving vehicles in Los Angeles San Francisco Houston Phoenix and other cities across the country because I can tell you right now we're going to have to start paying less while riding in a driverless car instead of having to use a driver. Look at tesla, they're going to start using their vehicles that will have no steering wheel as in the Tesla model 2. And what I also see happening is that once Uber starts partnering with waymo you're going to start seeing Uber drivers out of business! Is that its self-driving cars are going to be the norm at uber, then what you're going to see happening is it going to start paying less for rides in an autonomous car then we would with a driver. And I also believe that having a driverless car with Uber would mean that people like me will get around much faster and I don't have to worry about arguing with a driver. So I think these Uber drivers that are working now will soon be out of business once Uber starts using self-driving cars possibly without steering wheels.

    Hope they bring this to the east coast soon. Safer and stress free. But it needs to be cheaper then regular car services. Currently, it costs me almost $400 for a trip to the airport (45 miles), which is ridiculous. I wonder if it's intelligent enough to announce itself to the guard if you lived in a gated community. If driverless cars were available for purchase, I'd get one.

    200 accidents out of millions. What proportion of the overall car population do Waymos represent? What is their crash-rate per million miles compared with regular cars? These figures are missing. Autonomous taxis are very clever but how many people will be unemployed because of them? Henry Ford’s senior engineer pointed out to him that even the relatively simple automatic machines of their day, whilst not requiring food, vacations or pay, could not buy one of his cars. This is just another way of channeling more financial resources into fewer pockets.

    There are a million Uber drivers in the US. When they cheap out on driver pay as much as they do, who own their own cars and pay their own driving expenses, do you really think Uber can afford to cover the costs of not only the cars but all the expenses that go along with owning and maintaining a self driving vehicle if they attempt to replace a significant number of drivers? They are a horribly run company and I suspect this could just end up being a publicity stunt or a grab for political attention.

      Unfortunately my friend it’s worth it for them. a car doesn’t get tired. It’s hard to over work a machine. And they keep all the profit. They’ll take all the money they made from humans. And invest it into the new automated cars . That investment can make them one of the biggest companies in the world.
