Hi, I love to give chinese furniture a second life. I have a black laquer tea cabinet wich looks opaque . Do you have any cleaning or renewing sectrets to share with me to bring it back to it’s glory?

I watched a video where someone removed scratches by sanding with fine sandpaper and then putting a clear lacquer coat on top. It looked brand new

    Hi David,
I have a pair of 18th century horseshoe chairs that need some restoration. Do you know of any top specialist in fine Chinese furniture?

Buy what you love. That is the key.
Also, some Asian furniture like Tibetan furniture paint fades. The Tibetans paint over the original paint design.
