    Very interesting video Julian.
You explained the features well and i would think it would help people decide whether to upgrade to it.
Look forward to the next one mate.

Good video Julian and here was I waiting for you to show me what was in Advanced!
So I downloaded a Trial version and discovered you can adjust on the fly and see the results, happy days.
But be careful, as the sliders stay in the last position you last used and can affect the next photo you auto adjust.

Gad you liked the video and downloaded the trial version. Good point on the slider positions. :-)

You also have the Process options of Prime and High Quality, which is the one I tend to use 90% of the time for sports photography.

@@jbairdexp Indeed, I find High quality brilliant for my needs, 100 images processed in 7 or 8 minutes. Not with heavy noise and I find it does a good job on images with an ISO of up to 2000. Might be worth another video. 😁 Thanks

Really useful video Julian. I won some DXO software on a competition long time ago but this PureRaw stayed out of my sight somehow. I'm definitely going to try it.

Hi Julian: Thanks for creating this timely update on Pure RAW. I currently have Pure RAW 3 along with Topaz Photo AI. I wonder if I need to update Pure RAW from 3 to 4 as compared to Topaz Photo AI. Do you have any experience with Topaz and if so what are your thoughts? Keep well....Cheers, Keith (Canada)

Hey Keith, always good to read a comment from yourself. Unfortunately I've no experience with Topaz Photo AI, so can't compare Sorry.

what is different with pure raw and just edit in dxo...i know the create color profile dosent work after pure raw. its greyed out. so taking pic of color checker to use that option is mute

I don't personally use PhotoLab, but I found this which might help explain some of the differences between PR and PL - support.dxo.com/hc/en-us/articles/4423295439761-What-is-the-difference-between-DxO-PureRAW-and-DxO-PhotoLab-and-what-do-they-have-in-common

I downloaded the trial version a few days ago and on underexposed NEF files it does an awesome job. My computer is only a few years old (PC) and it takes MINUTES not seconds to process an image. I use Gimp software with Raw Therapee opening my NEF images. Pure Raw 4 does better than what I can do in Raw Therapee. I've got about 8 days left on my trial but I'm seriously considering purchasing it. As you stated I won't be processing every image in PR4 but my favorite ones or ones that I plan to have printed will be. :)

Hey Lawrence, you've done the best thing and that is to download a trial and experience it for yourself. Everyone's mileage will vary with these products but it's good to hear you've had a positive experience. Thanks for sharing.

This is my favorite post-processing software (aside from Lr), but man I just updated to v3 about 4 months ago. I'll poke around for some discount promo codes. But this new preview feature and other improvements look super 👏🏻

Tough one if you've just upgraded. You can run the trial PR4 along side PR3 though so you can check it out for yourself to see if it's worth the upgrade (again!). :-)

Fair enough. These days having the option to upgrade or not is a rare thing. So much software is on a subscription these days.
