Jeff is just one of those guys I could listen to tell stories all day. Something about him reminds me of growing up at hunting camp listening to all the stories there. Not saying anything to them, just enjoying.

I’ll always respect coach Fisher for transitioning 2 NFL franchises from one home to another, taking us to our one Super Bowl appearance, and 17 1/2 seasons of commitment to the Oilers/Titans, not to mention what he did for the community. However, I wonder sometimes if one of those Tennessee Oilers teams had made a playoff run, would his career winning percentage, playoff and Super Bowl appearances be a bit more loaded? Due to the challenges involved with moving, he was praised for somehow fielding a couple gritty, hard nosed, albeit .500 squads. I’m not at all sure, but I’d think it’s at least possible that the praise he garnered could inadvertently create a mindset. Not necessarily resting on his laurels, but perhaps a subconscious sense of accomplishment that might have dulled his sense of urgency.
I could listen to Coach Fisher talk about the Eddie and Steve era for hours! Great pod Boys!

My dad's company painted the stadium so i got to go before the opener...I went up to bud Adam's suit and walked all around , it was awesome early teens and gor to see it first...will never forget it...even tho I'm a cowboys fan , titans will always be my second favorite team.

Jeff was and is a great coach. Steve McNair was the greatest football warrior of all time. He may never get all the credits he is due, but he could turn a game on one leg and an injured back. Put him up against anyone you wish.

He is pretty defined with 20 years but with the additional games and added playoff he would be the perfect coach.

Jeff Fisher you are wrong the Oakland Raiders played the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2002 and we only had a week off before that Super Bowl also. So technically the raiders were the last team that played in a Super Bowl with only one week between the championship game and the Super Bowl. Side note we kicked your ass to get to that Super Bowl too. But we got served up some karma because we got our asses smoked too! 😉

Not gonna lie, I cannot sit here and listen to Jeff sniff after every rugged sentence he says... I'm just not the biggest fan of him and I'm even a die hard Titans fan.
Let's not forget that Fish also let Vince and CJ stay in Miami and party after a loss (story told by CJ himself), and Jeff is barely over .500. Love the dude just like everybody else but some of his tactics clearly didn't pay off.
