I love to see things like this covered in detail. Often these events are summarized in popular histories and I like a little more detail. My one critique would be the ad being so long and wildly of topic.
Epic HIstory, Kings and Generals, and HistoryMarche, all have great maps, but that is something about the graphics that you add that take the video to a whole other level. Sometimes I feel like I am a bird flying over the Army.
Syntagma Yes this is high-quality content about a very compelling part of history. Others may have complained about the music, but I can't get enough! Subscribed!!👍
Man I love these videos so much. On a sad rainy days I come back and rewatch these videos. I's just obvious that man is doing this from a shear love of the history. Not for the money or likes. Love it man. Please keep producing these.
It's not just about the music being too loud - the bigger problem is that it's sooo repetitive, the same music repeats every 10-15 seconds, its just a few musical bars before the music starts repeating itself again and again! It's really brainwashing...
Please more videos like this. You are putting amazing videos on parts of Caesars campaigns that history channels using gloss over like the 3 campaign in Spain. Your are amazing 👏
Incredible when you think about it, just get the boys to fill in the harbour entrance... amazing engineering and skill of his soldiers to work so quickly..
Very high quality reenactment of this siege. Both the Intel and animation are superior to other RUclips channels documenting Julius Caesar's Civil War. ⚔️
6:16 The narrator stated that "The civil war will drag on for one more year" unfortunately for the soldiers of Rome this statement is not true. The Siege of Brundisium occurred in 49 BC, Caesar's final battle was in March 45 BC , the Battle of Munda. This is the battle that Caesar famously stated that "I fought many times for victory, but at Munda I fought for my life". BTW "The Battkle of Munda" would make a great video, in this last battle Caesar will fight against one of his former ally the talented general Titus Labienus. Labienus was a protege of Caesar and he had learnt well from Caesar. Labienus used many tactics in this battle that he had learned from Caesar. Almost 40,000 Roman soldiers died at the battle of Munda, including Labienus who died on the field, Caesar granted Labienus a full burial even though he was a defector.
@@bombidil3 lol, this isn't his job idiot. He did it for money, which yeah no shit we all understand why you'd want money. But the ad is forced and we all know ads are shit. Doing this dilutes the potency the channel used to have.

You guys should capitalize on your big hit video and make epic infantry skirmish battles. There’s plenty of battle to pull from in history and your visual style could really make it come to life. If you insist on staying on the subject of Rome then do something like the Battle of Teutoburg Forest or something from the Punic wars.
These videos are great and are very well done. But one thing -- you gotta lower the music when the narrator is speaking. That's one of the first rules in documentary-making.
Great animation, detail but after just congratulating you on the earlier Caesar to Rubicon video, the whining voice, loud music affects this presentation.
Hobo G Well jeez man! It cost money to put together good content such as this. That's the trouble with this generation ; they want everything for free and like, right now! 😔
If it's plausible for the "contracts", potentially putting advertisements at the end instead of the start may yield more "positive" reactions. Don't let it stop you, people enjoy your content greatly as do I.
Unless we can somehow close off the harbour entrance Pomey will escape via the sea! But it's s an impossible task! We'd have to build huge rafts, cover them with a mountains of soil and anchor them down. Then we'd need to build towers and fortifications on them as well! This is impossible! The Romans: "Hold our beers".
This is some documentary of quality comparable to National Geographic and History Channel. Keep the great work. Your channel deserves more views.
Those 2 other channels are no longer interested in history.
Political correctness they are interested in.
This channel must grow.
Good video but the background music is too loud, Thanks
stop complaining

The siege of Alesia would be perfect for an animation like this, good job.
thank you, Alesia is actually considered in the near future :)

Naval superiority is key to winning wars. In modern wars, air superiority is a key factor as well.

As a famous climber on mount Everest said once about Kendal Mint Cake "My only complaint is that there was not more of it."
Great video, didnt mind the plug at the beginning. This siege reminds me of Masada, got to love Roman ingenuity
These vids are BRILLIANT
the first engagement between the roman "manipular" legion and the macedonian phalanx

I really like the pronunciation of "Brrrundisium".

Caesar playing Fortnite against Pompey before Fortnite was a thing.
I almost left a thumb down because of the 1m30 pub in a 6m30 video, but the animation is so nice that you deserve a thumb up!

Caesar could have built Siege Towers and used catapults and flaming arrows to crushed the incoming fleet.
Agreed

Way too short and a third of it was an advert
Gnaeus Pompeus Magnus not Pompei..
no
