love the personality and honesty of the guy taking the video. watched this because i’m currently looking at a vehicle exactly like this. love how gentle you’re closing the doors and showing you care and ensuring we can trust bmw. my family always complains how high maintenance they are but i agree that’s all cars.
I have a 2014 320i, shes paid off Ive had her since 2016. She has 93,000 miles and shes in the shop getting a new suspension and tune up. Still runs beautiful. She needs a paint job and some new headlights but shes trusty and reliable. Shes been out West shes been up north and down to miami. Shes my baby

@@SkeIeton it was rebuilt title but only needed a side door replaced. Engine was well maintained & suspension was pristine.

I bought a 2012 320i with 50,000km for $12,000 CAD. Within 2 months I had to replace the timing chain and water pump.
This is not a TwinTurbo. Is caught a twin scroll. It’s one turbo with two fans
a lot of people confuse twinpower turbo for twin turbo, which i’m sure bmw knew that would happen and took advantage of that
I love how hard this guy tries to make a case for this car. Even though most cars especially Hondas and Toyota are cheaper to maintain and far more reliable. I don't have to pay more than 20 bucks for head lights, air filters. And oil changes are only 40 bucks unless I go to jiffy lube which is a scam.
Yeah buying a used BMW isn’t really worth it unless it’s under 40k miles. The cost of maintenance for an average person would be too much. Parts are expensive and you obviously gotta fill it up with premium gas which today is up to $7 in some states.
@@KrispyChurro Most parts are not expensive it’s the labor that adds up because they are overengineered. You get what you pay for; obviously you have to pay more for a luxury high performance machine than a bucket ass honda or toyota.
it also depends on the bmw. some are more reliable than others. for example, the 328i e90.

Yeah every car is expensive if you repair it at a dealer for example honda oem parts are expensive too compared to if you aource them yourself online or certain parts stores
You can source qlot of parts for bmw online wich are oem for way cheaper than the dealer
Car is worth it if you can do your own maintenance

is a 2017 320 w 96k kms for 18k cad dollars a lot? i’m thinking to finance. i own a 2010 323 w 332k kms n for a 14 year old car w that many kms, its lasting longer than it should 😭 the repairs are annoying but nothing that couldn’t be fixed. even when someone poured ginger ale in my gas tank🤦🏽♀️ it’s still been going strong 😂 currently my pcv system is failing and im being quoted 1300 but idk if mechanics are trynna scam me cs im a girl 🤦🏽♀️ but thats why im looking at the 320 now .., im used to bmws n their costly repairs but i love them😭
It's not a twin turbo, it's a single turbo , they call it a twin power turbo because of how it spools

These cars come to South Africa and be 1mil+ and you have to wait 8+ years for it to hit 300k-400k coz most salaries can't afford it
80 thousand miles is already at the point where you gotta worry about repairs… plus i doubt your getting away with only 15k out the door

This is the new 318i entry level bimmer. Nothing wrong with the car. .but will not perform like a 328i
320i and 500 on a stage 1 and you have a 328i. Its a good option when you are choosing between a 320i with extras and a 328i more standard.

I got offers for 5-7k on a 160k mile 2014 320 XDrive. One of the most reliable cars I’ve had, minimum issues (mainly electric). I’d opt for a 328 for that extra power but still a good deal

The newer one out the lot is gonna be about 30k- 40k so yes good deal.

I would say no and If you did I wouldn’t spend more that 2-5 k for it. Under 100,000 you will be fine if you aren’t lazy and care enough to service your car.(common sense)
If it has an extensive service history and it’s under 10k it might be but usually people who drive bmws suck and dont take care of them lol

@@Neil542 own one purchased from an owner who took care of it maintenance wise and did plenty of repairs. Had the differential, valve gasket, steering lock go out all within a month of ownership with a paid mechanic to look over the car before purchase. I can definitely say it's a money Pitt if pieces are broken all at once or under a year of ownership.
