    (6:49) That somehow looks to me like a Lode Runner clone.
    (17:05) This is the first time I've seen a Famicom game show a controller graphic in the game itself, as I didn't think any Famicom or NES game would do so in-game instead of just in the instruction booklets if they did so there.
    (37:11) That reminds me so hard of the scam tablets on Lazada, old low-end stuff modified in software to seem high end, and photos that don't look like the product that buyers receive. Through the reviews, I could see that so many people fell for the scam.
    (38:57) It looked more like MS-DOS to me than Windows 95.

      My guess is that the way the game was programmed allowed Chinese bootleggers to easily swap sprites without having to change much of the game's code.
      From what I could tell, there were some bootleg games on the 'Double Match' Famiclone that were similar sprite edits.
      One of the games was the Tiny Toon Adventures NES game that, if I recall correctly, got a sprite edit to replace Buster with Mario, but whoever made the resulting bootleg Super Mario game forgot to change the animated death sprite.
      There was a Jackie Chan NES game (according to someone in the comments on the TweeterMan287 review) that I think also got a sprite edit to turn it into another bootleg Super Mario game, but the bootleggers who made that forgot to change the sprite for when the player character was up against a wall.
      Besides that, there was another bootleg Super Mario game that was a sprite edit of Caveman Ninja.

They tend to be referred to as a "famiclone". It's just essentially one of those Chinese bootleg NES Multi Cards built into a poorly made NES/Famicom Clone console. They also aren't emulation, it's real, cheaply made hardware cloning a real NES/Famicom. You can find them all over the place if you go to big flea markets. The Game Child has been around LONG before Gumball. In fact, the famous Ashens videos (which are about the game child) came out YEARS before the PILOT of Gumball was made.

      There is a reason why Conner needs to check his facts. He wrongly assumed the GameChild came from TAWOGB when in reality it came out in the 90's to cash in on the success of the GameBoy. Also, the GameChild he was describing was, sadly, not even that, it's a PopStation styled console with one built in game, not two.

  • @ChaseMC215
    @ChaseMC215 Год назад +1

    I think you got your info wrong on the GameChild part, Conner. The GameChild was made during the 90's to fool kids into thinking it was a GameBoy. It's a PopStation type console, which itself is a bootleg of the Tiger Electronic handhelds.
    This is why fact checking is important, guys! Go watch Stuart Ashen's video on the GameChild. And while you're at it, show some love to him and buy Ashens and the Quest for the GameChild.
