Ok, Celebrated my grandson's 19th birthday and recelebrating my granddaughters 24th because she was diagnosed with cancer on her birthday Feb 20. She says the worst birthday ever! We stayed home, cooked hamburgers and fixings! Made a strawberry cake for my granddaughter and a big chocolate cookie for my grandson. Yep, he was born on the 4th of July!

Lonely is good...I don't care much for society either. I like watching how other people live as self-sufficiently as possible. Quiet Fourth here...stepped outside and listened to the city's fireworks for about 2 minutes (too far away to see) and then came back inside where it's nice and peaceful.

On the 4th I drove into town and bought some fresh locally grown cherries 🍒 for $4/pound. I live in a very small city where fireworks are legal so people from larger towns nearby come here to blow off fireworks. It sounds like a war zone 1 day a year. I gave my cat some stress reduction meds because she hides under the bed every 4th of July.
What I did for the 4th of July, I worked.... Then I found a tree in some shade to cool off and had a nice conversation. When was the last time you had a conversation with a tree? They have really good wisdom!
You just make me laugh, Mike! I was in L.A. last night, so of course we all had to listen to the illegal fireworks going off until about 1:00 a.m. Fun for everyone...Anyway, it is what it is. Other than that, had a quiet day yesterday, nothing special, watched all of the fireworks and musicians from across the country on TV, Facetimed with my kids back in Illinois, and fixed dinner with my husband. Every day above ground is a good day!
I went to work for the 4th of July, lol.... But that's ok, because I'll get paid for the 9 hrs. that I "worked", plus 8 hours of holiday pay, and most of those hours that I "worked" were spent sitting at home watching t.v., or RUclips videos on my laptop, & taking a nap, while waiting on 2 passengers to get done with their dialysis treatment so I could take them home. Oh and Mike, for your water bottles, you can't really beat stainless steel and/or copper. You can use stainless steel & copper containers to boil (sanitize) water that you might have to collect from a stream, pond or lake in a survival situation, thereby making it safe to drink. And copper kills germs too. Have a good one. Peace out....

I was camping, never any service at the campgrounds, didnt go out on the boat with my sons family, just stayed inside and read a good book and went to bed. I could hear a little bit of booming over the air conditioner.
I stayed home, slept in, had a BBQ, and did paperwork, what fun. I will help your budget by buying you dinner next week. I can also buy the old generator!

They have scholarships as well. You are a young able body man..might want to think about a different road in life instead of gritting for $$$...I am alerting all of the mobile travelers of this option.
I had a nice 4th of July with family.We grilled teriyaki chicken kabobs and ribs with homemade potato salad, watermelon and pie. There were fireworks shows all around me. I watched them from my back patio. And watched some more from my front porch. Look up, how to fix a generator that runs but don't put out power, because there is a lot of videos that show and it's sometimes a very easy fix or a cheap part, like a capacitor or something easy to fix, it is always good to have a backup if you can get it easy fix

For 3 days we have had illegal fireworks in my area. My dogs are sick from fear. I do everything I can to comfort them but the idiots around us who ignore the illegal fireworks law are busy shaking our house and our nerves with the constant booms. Went to the south end of twin harbor state park on the beach. Just south of Westport washington. Was kinda nice not needing to drive an hour each way. I think next year I won't go so early and probably go around 4pm or 5pm. By the time 10pm hit I was a bit tired and ready to go. But that's when the fireworks really started.
Hey Mike. I snuck into town the secret back way and got 600 gallons of water. Mulched the lower garden (you should see it, or watch my video). I made a video, edited it and scheduled a release for this AM. We bbq'd hot dogs and ate macaroni. I know. Boring.
you should add a few cans of dehydrated water to your emergency car equipment. I once told my wife that they packaged water that way to save weight. I think she believed me for a short time.......

We went and picked up groceries in the early morning and then just stayed home the remainder of the day. Nice and quiet and peaceful 4th.
