First want to say, we are SO happy to see Nate doing better and that his surgery was a great success. Second, Kara isn't it awesome when you're stuck in traffic and have to pee REALLY bad that living in a van or RV at that point makes all the rough patches of van life go away...well at least until you finish peeing. Well done on the 16 hour drive. We're warming up for a LONG drive as we'll be picking up our brand new RV in a few weeks. YAY! Kara was a little red after reading about having pepper spray in the van. At least you remembered that.Let the cabin adventures BEGIN!!! ❤️👏

A few years back I was crossing into Vermont on my motorcycle. I pulled up to the stop sign and waited until the two officers appeared. One motioned me forward. There was a camera and mic overhead. I played it straight, answered all questions politely, cracked no jokes. He completed the routine and I saw him visibly relax. He then asked about the modulated headlight which flashes high-low. Nice conversation. Just remember that they have a job to do and the easier you make it for them the more pleasant they are.

Hey! From someone who's been to Niagara Falls a ton, I totally recommend Journey Behind the Falls! It's only a little bit more expensive for an adult ticket, but you get to see a lot. You're able to explore tunnels behind the Horseshoe Falls, and a few lead to where you're standing a few feet away from the moving water! There's also a deck (half open, half sheltered) at the very bottom of the falls afterwards too! It's definitely worth the price in my opinion. Much love from Toronto, ON!

OMG! Kara I get that nervous at border crossings too, especially these days with all the extra restrictions. We just drove over the border in Croatia to Bosnia and I was a wreck. Also the passport scene is very relatable too, earlier this week I had a call from airport security to say they had my passport as I left it at the airport in Croatia, so thankful they found it and gave it to me, I hadn't even noticed it had gone! 😅

One thing, I am not an expert but I know some things, the van's engine sound a bit rough, it might be a loose belt or the timing chain. It wouldn't be something the van's computer can pick up because you would a warning light on the dash. Just a precaution check it over with a car mechanic.

As a Canadian, I have never had issues entering the US. The US border guards have always been very professional and polite. I've actually had a more challenging time re-entering Canada. The Canadian border guards are polite but ask many questions about how much you spent in the US to determine if you owe an extra duty. Its great having such a great relationship between these 2 great countries.

Interestingly enough, as much as you were surprised you could not bring pepper spray from the USA into Canada....it is equally prohibited to bring a Kinder Egg into the USA. Kinder is a chocholate egg with a small toy inside. Just as with the pepper spray, you can be charged, prosecuted and possibly incarcerated. I really enjoy your videos, fun and uplifting. I was little so I just remembered the little things that I did when I was little. My father did drove a station wagon with a pop up camper. The car was a Ford and white color with that wood on the sides.

To really feel the power of Niagara Falls, on the Canadian side, if you go to the huge shop close by the falls, there is an entrance to where you can go down to BEHIND the falls. That’s where you would feel the power & the roar of the water is deafening. Canada wins for tourism sights & to do stuff at the Falls. ❤ Treat yourselves to the Canadian side for a few days at the Falls. Tons to do. Great for children too.

For border crossing usually the USA into Canada isn't too bad, but for anyone who is not from the USA trying to go from Canada into the USA, oooo buddy it is hell. Even just Canadians trying to do it. You basically have to know someone in the USA to vouch for you.
