Wow. What a match. Robby Ginepri is not a mediocre player by any means. He had some shots. But Rafa is just too much here. I mean Rafa was always too much for anyone too handle at the French open & elsewhere. But as diehard Rafa fans we're never going to have too much of Rafa. Ever. Thanks my friend. ❤
RG Is such a clownsie tournament. They gave a wild card to Robby Ginepri who was irrelevant years before this match, but they couldn't give a WC this year to Thiem AND Schwartzman
You are the clown because you are ignorant. There is an agreement between the French, the US and the Australian tennis Federations so that 1 US and Aussie player can get a WC for the French Open while a French player can get a WC at the USO and AO etc. Ginepri was chosen by the US Tennis federation as the US WC for this tournament, so blame them
I know, 2017 and 2020 was his best form, he didn’t drop a set the entire tournament at RG in those years. Yes Nadal also didn’t drop a set at RG in 08 and 2010 as well but Nadal lost more games overall in those years and didn’t win points as much by hitting satisfying winners like in this match, as back then Nadal still had his lightning speed and capitalised on that by returning every ball forcing his opponents to make errors. Now even though in 2017 and 2020 Nadal may not have been as fast as he once was, he had a much better more powerful forehand which he had perfected over the years, as well as improving his backhand as well. Nadal played amazing in 2014 at RG, but he still lost a set to Djokovic in the final, whereas in 2020 Nadal literally bageled Djokovic and won in straight sets which is absolutely insane. Djokovic is the second best clay courter of this era and Nadal destroyed him just as much as he did to that guy who got a wildcard here lol. It’s like Nadal had no ceiling at RG and could just keep getting better.
Rafa was on demon timing in 2014 RG. Wish him a happy retirement
@8:13 the look on nadals face knowing he's going to win the point! 😂

And they didn’t put the defending champ on Chatrier for his first match

@VelveteenDreamer how about Thiem? Stop excusing those dumbs. RG Is probably the worst managed GS

Not just any commentator, that's Mats Wilander!
That Nadal intro feels different now....😢😢😢
Hadn't he been injured. He would have won AO 2014😢
Nah man stan was insane
By beating the Stan who beat prime Djokovic on a hard court 😅. Don't make me laugh. He was losing even before he hurt his back.
Have you seen the Nadal Stan H2H? No chance Stan beats healthy Nadal.
@@owendagreat1 h2h is meaningless when stan is on form. Nole is 21-6 against stan yet stan is the only person to beat prime nole at 2015
@owendagreat1 He was already beating him when Nadal hurt his back in the second set (the only set he won, by the way).
One of my two favorite players ever with Nole, i'm glad Rafa can finally enjoy his retirement...
What a legend! 💪😍
2014 Nadal was not even his best form
It was the end of his prime. 2010-2014
@ the end of his best due to injuries 🤕
prime nadal 2008-2014
