Fabulous. Love Scriabin too
LOL I just landed here, don’t play a thing. What a trip! Once you start hearing a language it starts teaching itself to you. Not that I understood what was said, but I did start to get a notion of what it’s all about. WOW. I’m 58 but just may embark on learning to someday reach this point. Joining simplicity and complexity.
Now I need to find another great class where I can actually start from.
Thank you!
There's so much packed into this - I could watch it ten times and still be learning. The way you integrate the performance with the explanations and insights so seamlessly is amazing. It's even fun to just sit back and listen without trying to follow every detail.
Nice tune, thanks!
I learnt this song many years ago with rubbish chord changes This is great. learning how to play a "cool" version is really good.
One of my all time favorite songs
Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge. This is one of my favorite songs, now I can learn to play it.

"I'VE LEARNED LOADS FROM THIS ONE VIDEO - Tony. I've got to say: This one video is great. You've packed loads into this lesson maybe without even realising it. I mean it's a good standard song to base a tutorial on but you've really offered so many tricks/tips in this one. I'm going to learn this one as well as I learned "Moonlight in Vermont" I don't have your voice but I can sing a bit and it's good for this too. At least I can sing in tune. (as a piano tuner I know if I'm in tune! hehe). and I do have a bit of tone to my voice too.
Gsus- JESUS
Thanks a lot tony and not david ad i have said before sorry. You make my try when i was in doubt to do it
Ñice to mention Scriabine;sure,he had a great influence in jazz construction;importance of the fourth, diminuished scales and modalism.(into the flame)
Hey Tony, great video as always! Could you make a video on Jobim's Luiza and how to play accompaniment for it? As in playing the song without bass or melody and providing rythm and variation only through chords.
Thanks!
I'll check it out!
Could you do a video on Comerade Conrad by Bill Evans
After the Cmin9 what do you think about Cm7b5? (Which is basically Ebm6) then a Bbsus2/D where the Gm11 is
Could u do a video on sakamichi no apollon medley 🙏
my favorite things - nice arrangement , also work song..YES!
PS: I've transposed this into C. I reckon it works quite well in C.

Thanks a lot tony and not david ad i have said before sorry. You make my try when i was in doubt to do it
Thank you Tony for your work and teaching
Great video! Can you do a video on Lonnie’s Lament? I’m a bass player and just learned the melody. The real book charts reads “solos on Cm”. I’d love to hear someone solo over the changes. Thanks!
Are you in Atlanta?
Hi Tony, great video as always! What do you put on your Patreon?
Mostly videos that eventually end up published on RUclips. So it's mostly early access. I do plan to do more videos exclusively for Patreon...and I try to fulfill most requests coming from patrons.
Does anybody know if Tony has done a version of the song "Don't Blame Me" (like this one)?
not yet!
