Definitely not the best CAT engine. Those are crank breaking machines, however, putting a 6NZ top end on an MXS bottom end and going single turbo with a marine cam and injectors is a nasty combo once it’s tuned.

If someone wants to buy a brand new truck with brand new engine ONLY go for the Cummins X15!! Paccar engines is GARBAGE. I just really hate the bullshit emissions and the dumb DEF fluid bullshit. The trucks have to sit for almost a hour to regen which is irritating, trucks are also becoming Automatic... a BIG TRUCK, being AUTOMATIC... IT DONT WORK! I drove a ‘18 Kenworth T880 Dump truck with a 400 something horsepower Paccar MX13 engine and it had the Eaton Automatic transmission and I liked the truck but that engine and transmission was the worst I ever drove. Fucking thing stays in low gear all the way up the hill until it levels, it’ll downshift extremely hard and the engine brake will kick on... HORRIBLE. Hated that motor and transmission. I used to drive a "Big Blue" 389 for Western Distributing Transportation. You should check out their trucks, sometime. They have bad ass heavy recovery rotator trucks, too.

Greg, if you’re wanting a longer wheelbase, you should really consider replacing your frame rails to the length wheelbase you want. Since your frame rails already have a lot of rust. Replacing the frame rails is really not as bad as it seems. Just do one side at a time and the more jack stands the better. You don’t have to pull the motor, trans, cab, sleeper. Just hold everything in place with jack stands and side the frame rail out the back. I’ve done my fair share.

Do not go to Fitzgerald they cut corners with the best of them. They don't even repaint the engine compartment or under the cab . All they do is from the cab sleeper back to the fifth wheel. And then they tell you work truck. you got to be fucking kidding me you're charging to customers out of this money to do half of the frame but you're too cheap to do the rest of it and then you say it's a work truck and you're trying to keep the cost down since when does that matter cuz you're they have $100,000 peterbilt in your probably charging just as much to customize in it nothing is done with the motor it is still a slow slug of a fucking engine that will leave you stranded. How can you call yourselves a custom shop and not finish the job right and repeat customers off and take advantage of unbelievable if you happen to go to a truck show which most of us truckers do and you open your hood and the frame is a different color than the back of the cab because they did not repaint it in high-class you will lose points you will get laughed at people would think you're cheap and they will look at the rest of your Pete as cutting corners

those fenders won’t do you any good rocks will just chip the back of your sleeper
Rather the other type fenders which covers the wheel
go with half fenders or full fenders you won’t have to paint the back of the truck
Those fenders work but only on certain trailers with the correct spacing .
