A pretty and funny wife is certainly a great achievement in itself. Agreed on 28 G3s looking awesome, it would blend in nicely even at expensive weddings, but they are far less portable and around 70% more expensive than J8, so no really comparable… It's more of a dB es1203 territory.
Loved the wife collaboration! Especially the killer surprise ending! I go thru this with wifey every time! Almost divorced every time I upgraded speakers 🤣🤣
I have the J8's but I got the pair for $1800. I did a few gigs and realized that I wanted harder hitting bass. No problem, I connected my 15 inch RCF sub which I already had and what a system! I have some DJ friends that want to buy my J8's for what I paid from me. I think that I would only sell for the next step up .... But then these systems start to get heavy ...
So I just got a pair of Evox J8s and he must have had the volume low because the tops scream. They are super harsh when volume is all the way up!! And the sub definitely will rattle the walls of a garage easily. They bang and I am an Evolve 50 guy!
Wow ! I laughed so much, thank you. My serious question is how do you compare the overall difference between the LD Maui 28 G3 and the Bose L1 Pro 32? In Canada it is close to double the price. Thanks for your time for the response. These are such large amounts to invest.

Nice teamwork thanks. Going from multiple videos of J8's they seem to me to have a cleaner more detailed sound particularly the mid range for these sort of speakers, better for vocals?
A DJ friend of mine bought and used these (Maui's) at two events and noticed they clip/peak too soon. The clip light is activated more easily than with the Evolve 50s (or J-8's). Have you experienced this issue?
During my wedding I was hitting the limit most of the night. It didn't distort or stay solid. I hadn't worked out the right combo of Master volume and my mixer output. Worked on it more yesterday in the garage and think I found the right combo. Def something I will keep my eye on. With a 128 spl, I should be able to stay at 120 for most of the night

PRX one is not powerfull for DJ, I had a prxone for 4 months and I prefer the Bose pro16 for DJs, the sub is better and the prxone the limiter comes on very early
@David Beaulieu Interesting. I definitely don't want to go Bose, so will try the Maui. I do know that the red light isn't the limiter on the PRX One, if that's what you're referring to.
@@Dasbeerboots Yes, the red "Limit" light is the limiter that comes on early, the subwoofer doesn't keep up with the rest of the speaker. I generally prefer the sound of the Bose and especially the more powerful and present subwoofer for DJs, however the prx is better for a group with the integrated mixer. The prxone can't be on a stage too high because it doesn't have a J configuration like Bose without putting it at an angle with a piece of wood.. just sitting on my couch in my living room I was losing 30-40 % Treble vs. Bose. Hi Aaron Greetings from Portugal / Europe Good Job you do on RUclips. On our events company we use mainly big boy speakers from EV but we also have a small HK Polar 12 that is ok for events until 50 persons. We are considering buying a new small system and I watch all your videos. One question I have is the bass from the rcf 808, is it better than the evox 8 and the Ld 28 G3? Some guys use 2x808 per side (4 on total), but they are super expensive... We are also considering the rcf evox 12, have you try it?
If you're wanting a smaller system, I wouldn't spend the money on 4 808s. I'd get something like the J8 or 28 G3s. The Evox 12 is bigger, 15" bass and louder
It's not the RCF TT515 you don't like it's the TT808 that sucks and creates the distortion. Use the 515 With a sub from one of your other systems like the 28 or J8 sub and you will see what I'm talking about.
LD - Bahahaha. She’s cool. 👍👍 Oh ya the speakers. Nice. I like the 12’s. I don’t need 18’s either. When I do, I call up a production company. They can carry them. 😂
2 12's, 1 18", 1 allen and heath qu-pac to EQ it all. takes care of 99% of all gigs you need for up to 300 people....these line arrays are cool, but not for the price and advantages.
Oh come on! Clearly he has his wife on here just because she is hot (THANK YOU! GREAT CALL!). It's sooooo stupid and predictable (but still greatly appreciated!). Did they really provide any worthwhile content to help evaluate these two products???? ... ok, I admit they did - that's true - they did. And not just because she's hot ... although she is.
I'm sure you watched OPAZ and his reviews. He says the PRX1 has much better bass performance over the 28. Definitely a nice looking unit but my gut says the J8 will still be best value overall. As far as the new RCF system you have it seems everyone who has it lists alot of caveats about it, at that price it's more and more sounding like a dud. Like meeting this hot chic all your friends say is amazing, you date, get her in bed and she's just not very good at it lol. Looks great, people say great things.... but meh. 😂
Like a REALLY expensive date and you get in bed and they just want to be friends... J8 is still the most versatile, especially with the mixer. But I think the G3 sounds better, looks better and has deeper bass

I set the 515 up with the sub 2 and it sounded great. Lots of cables though
@@AaronStrawn It's the same amount of cables as using the 808s lol
LD - Bahahaha. She’s cool. 👍👍
Oh ya the speakers. Nice. I like the 12’s. I don’t need 18’s either. When I do, I call up a production company. They can carry them. 😂
I agree
No evox12?
Not with me already having the 515/808s. I wanted to venture into a different speaker
Please make video's on your wife only, much more fun and probably more accurate.
Yikes
LD Maui 28 G3 is better, the white does look like a perfect wine glass side table, so give me black.
Been getting lots of compliments on the white speakers. They just blend in with the venue. I bought some No Drink stickers and they’ve been working
Doesn’t matter tbh the G3’s look a million times better
They are a beautiful speaker
2 12's, 1 18", 1 allen and heath qu-pac to EQ it all. takes care of 99% of all gigs you need for up to 300 people....these line arrays are cool, but not for the price and advantages.
That's a great setup for sure. I personally do not like the tripod look which is why I am drawn to the columns
@@AaronStrawn agreed. Just wish the prices for them weren’t so absurd
😂 awesome
ld is the best :)
OK, this is F,,, funny, you can't do it again without your wife anymore, sorry.
She's up for it, I just need to buy more shit lol
@@AaronStrawn OMG you'll be in huge trouble lol
I can’t tell if you’re mad or not lol
@@AaronStrawn totally tongue in cheek … except for the parts about this being helpful and that your wife is hot - those critiques are genuine. 😇👍
@@EdPithey yes she is
Buy 6 of them to use them as satellites
lol
told you :)
I don't know what you're talking about...lol
they look ridiculous. I appreceiate the video though. Entertaining.
@Aaron Strawn
End of season video. "Dealing with the cleaning white speakers" lol
I'm shocked you have not went the "tube route" yet, Astera or the like......
@@chadnliz2k11 oh man..I have to clean everything every week. I’m at a point where I don’t really give a shit about lights lol. Simpler the better
Slam nutz.
FOR LIFE
I use 18 subs all the time
That's fine! I'm not against them lol
First
Free chest hairs on its way
@@AaronStrawn thanks

For sure in the future…if she doesn’t kill me first
I don't think are not portable like the way you like.😅😅😅😅
