But you can't help people to hope for a loss since we don't have anything to play for basically and they won't want to offer the title to our biggest rivals.
I think those are two different things and it's only natural in such a strong rivalry.
I'd rather finish 5th with 66 points and city champions than 5th with 67 points and Arsenal champions, dont you ?

if losing is what will make "fans" happy just so that arsenal won't win the league is totally unacceptable as a spurs fan. That's not the mentality i want my club to go with. When big clubs are focusing on wining and progressing we are here debating about if it's okay for us to lose just to hinder a rival like what do u want the players to do just go and watch or what, ppl need to wake up this have been always our history when we don't like something we pressure the club to sack a manager, the simplest way. Like we are trying to build something, a team a mentality and that begins with us as supporters, results don't come overnight, if we don't stick to our believes and to what the manager is trying to apply to this football team than there is no reason to hope for wining something. Big clubs have big mentality and the responsibility is on everyone not just the management or the players but also on the supporters. Back up ur team ! to thick and thin. COYS!

FOR me it's not about just arsenal not winning the league, , Spurs will b hammered in the champions league. BUILDING a winning team ,going to play game after game against the very best in the soccer word ,team is losing ,will not be the right mindset in building .Spurs in the European league ,not the champions, will b better ,if the gaffer whant champions league he should have prepared the team better for those unnecessary losses against teams before playing Spurs that were very awful in their games ,playing Spurs, Spurs made them looked word beaters . So the gaffer should b pleased with 5th place where as Villa will b the real fit for champions league 2024 - 2025 season, Spurs should not give the game to city ,city should play too win that's what it is .

I can’t agree with you, sorry. The way the team and Ange rolled over for all our other big games (not a single win against Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham and recently getting battered by Newcastle and Liverpool) is unacceptable and now they want to put in a performance against City and hand our biggest rivals the title? How about they first put in the performances to make us proud and we will return that pride. But they screwed it up, so this situation is all Ange and the players fault. Basically, lose the f-ing game!

    • @oulaynass4945
      @oulaynass4945 26 дней назад

@@phfamily9422 it's not about just one game i totally agree with u abt getting battered with the big games is unacceptable as well, but my point is abt a whole mindset not a game in particular. We should go with the intent to win, regardless of the opponent or the club's current position. I know we r not ready for the champions league yet i'm just saying that i can't watch a spurs game wishing us to lose only so that the rival won't make it. I don't care abt any other club, everyone has a vision and a project and they r working on it, so should we as well. At the end of the day we all want the best for this club i just hope we could come with more strong mentality if we want to achieve something.

@@benjaminsolomon3918 Personally, aiming for the Champions League might be a bit of a stretch for us right now, and I'm not deluding myself about that. We have areas to improve, and it's crucial to be realistic abt our capabilities. However, I believe that every opportunity should be embraced and approached with a determined mindset. I find it hard to comprehend the idea of hoping for our rivals to lose instead of focusing on our own progress and success. We need to adopt a proactive attitude and work diligently towards achieving our goals, rather than relying on external factors like rival teams faltering. Our success should come from our own hard work and dedication, not from wishing for others to fail.

Gents. 20 year fan here. As much as it pains me because of the banter, Ange is 100% right. Wanting to lose is small club mentality. If they do win it, beating City won't be "handing them the title", because we effectively did it at the NLD. THAT'S the game we should have won, and the players need to remember that. RIvalry should be based on head to head, end of. Big club mentality is we go into every game thinking we can beat anyone, then everyone is our rival, and we'll be better than all of them. Believe.

This is definition of a "small club" to worry about rival achievement instead of achieving ourselves. I'm a Spurs fan for 25+ years and I'm obviously in minority here but the only club which placement in EPL I care about is Spurs. I do understand "rivalry" thing but we are not as good as Arsenal for last couple seasons. For me , having Arsenal winning EPL should be turned into ultimate motivator for us. I would go and give Man City our best and not shy away and I wish we win just like it's any other game. BTW ManCity is good enough to not depend on any favour from us, so I'm for giving them a good match.

Let think positively, Gunners have been so consistent throughout the season, even without our help, they could win the league. Say, if they win the title from our favor, we could mock them that they actually win because of us and we are the one who identify their destiny. This should cover the fact that they're being consistent. Will this even work ?😂. What a situation I don't wanna be in.

Totally hypocritical to criticise Ange so early on (some even asking for his exit!?!?) when we all know it’s take years to build a team who can genuinely contend. It’s not a switch, it’s a process….yet we’ve got people asking us to lose!?!? Mentality doesn’t change overnight being the point! If we don’t want to be in this position the answer is simple, win more! Use the pain of them potentially winning as some extra fuel for the fire….That aside, what we’re discussing here has absolutely no place in sport. So I’m strongly with Ange on this one, you lose, you take it on the chin, get back up, learn from it and come back stronger. Win or lose, you do it with pride!

If we lose our last 2 games, we will finish 6th or 7th probably. We must play to win both. Champions league is still possible with 6 points because Villa could easily lose away to palace. Also each league place lost, costs a premier club over 3 million, as payments are stepped down. Also European money is important when it comes to buying and attracting better players in summer. Forget Arsenal because whatever happens to them, is what happens.

Guys your content is decent so well done.
In terms of the whole situation. If arsenal win the league due to spurs getting a result then you live with arsenal having a league title……
If spurs fans cheer on their opponent and actively want spurs to lose then they will always be known as the loser club with the losers mentality
Me personally , I’d rather keep my pride in my teamc

To be a grown man, a fan of this team and to sit there with a straight face and say you’d intentionally lose so they can’t win is a level of sad and pathetic that needs to be studied. If we don’t want arsenal or whoever to win the title we should take it out of there hands and win it ourselves. Ohh that’s right we don’t care about winning at Tottenham we care about what arsenal is doing over anything else. This fan base is the definition of trying to keep up with the jones, we want to be like everyone else so bad. You know what I think, showing up with City ready to beat our faces in and blow Peps bald cap back and fucking dominate them would old more value than oh arsenal won the league. True men don’t worry about the man next door is doing, he takes care of his business so the men next door to him want to know what he is doing. We need to be the club everyone else wants to be, not the club aspiring to be another one.

I couldn't give less of a fuck about Arsenal to be honest... It's not ideal, but come on man... If Liverpool beat Villa, we have something to play for and that's all I care about 🤷‍♂
If you do care, imagine the scenes if Arsenal think they've won the league for a few days only for Everton to stink the place out and ruin their party... If we nicked a top 4 spot as well it would be absolute gold 😂

We don't want to hand you the title to have the possibility of an outside chance of maybe getting in Champions League.
I guarantee if the positions were switched you absolute would be the same.

This channel pushing the "prefer to lose" mentality is really poor. Fans don't want to lose to anyone, ever - regardless of the circumstances. Let’s secure Europa today, then see if we can pull off a magic act for Champions League this weekend. All other considerations must surely be secondary.

It is nice for those that "don't care" about Arsenal winning the league. For those of us living in and around London with many Arsenal mates who celebrate "St Totteringhams day" most years like they have won the league, it is yet more grief from them we do not need. Arsenal fans have a big chip on their shoulders and obsess about Spurs. Way more than Spurs fans do about them. They are pathetic and yes... we shouldn't lower ourselves to their level... but I am not judging Sim and Ben for having reservations about what a win would mean and whether it is worth the "banter" we will get for the next decade. COYS
