This is how tutorials should be rather than those synthesia tutorials, this allows you to think more about what your playing before you actually play it
oh man, you deserve hundred of thousand more views. i just wanna thank you for doing this for your small community of piano lovers. i watched almost every single one of your videos and are looking forward to many more. keep playing Paul, your videos always inspire me to play :)
also, I wanna thank you for doing so much work on this piece. its my favorite and I cant thank you enough for doing this. and is there any chance you could do Liebestraum no. 1, at least the performance of it. Its hard to find any good ones and its unquestionable you will do a GREAT performance.
Absolutely brilliant - the fact that you took the time to show step by step ways to learn the piece is astounding. Above and beyond! This piece will be played by me for decades. Thank you.

I have always wanted to try this piece, but it has always looked intimidating. After I finish some pieces that I am working on, I will give it a try because of your beneficial tutorials
Although your tutorials for this piece were produced some time ago, they are the best ever and I have learnt a lot. Thank you Paul for your generosity. You are a superb teacher! You are spreading musical happiness around the world .
You know you love the piece when even the tutorial can put you in a love dream :)
Thx Paul. I've tried playing chords like you say in the part where there's jumps, back and fourth over and over, and that helps !!!
A music of soul..I wish I could play this...A wish, a desire and then an ambition
thanks for the most professional piano tutorials out there! Even thought im not working on Liebesträume your tutorial brings me a general insight of how to work on my own repertoire. thanks again!
Please make a tutorial on La Campanella by Liszt! That would be very helpful. Thank you for your videos
What a fantastic thing you're doing for us learning
pianists,, Mr. Barton.
Paul - thank you so much for these videos. You've really given an amateur - in way over their heads - something to go on with this piece. thanks!
Hello pual i cannot thank you enough for this tutorial i cannot stress to you enough how helpful you have been to me. Before i watched this video i wasnt too sure on how to practice the climax with such big octave jumps but thanks to this video im quickly improving. You have my utmost respect for what you have done, Thank you very much😊.
8:19 on of my favorite liszt chord progressions ever
This is amazing I am now going to remember this whenever I'm sight reading a new piece! This was amazing
thank you so much for this !! i just recently had to stop taking piano lessons but i had just started on this piece and wasnt able to finish learning it before i had to stop taking the lessons. im playing it at my brothers wedding in a year and have been struggling to know exactly how to play it but your videos have been immense help!!
Whatd u end up playing at his wedding
Beautiful piece and very helpful video ;]
Thank you so much for this very helpful piano tutorial.
the section 5 is killing me right now, i can't get that part to flow like the others. but i think watching you practice the chords first is gonna help a lot. thank you.
Thank you for sharing, Sir! I’m currently learning this piece and you made it look so much learnable!
Paul is the best human ever!
Thanks you're great. That's very helpful
You need way more views this is so helpful
Your style is so unique and Brilliant!
1:24 my god those chords
Hello Paul and thank you for all the work you're doing I think it's amazing to be able to have access to such great quality !
I was wondering however if it'd be possible for you to give us a more detailed approach of the chord progressions, you make throughout the piece especially the first sections, finding it a bit difficult to follow
Thanks again and all the best,
one of the thousands you've helped
Oh I love your tutorials :)
gotta love that song, and Pauly B. :p keep it up PB!
very good; I will try it...
I’m just wondering, so are we suppose to play the left hand arpeggio like broken chords as chords and in low dynamics for section 9
Thanks a lot!
Hey thanks for the great video, will definitely be using these techniques in the future. I was wondering why the first chord played is C/Eb/Ab/C rather than C/E/Ab/C when the sheet music doesn't have a flat on the E line for the first chord? Question is open to the floor, I'm only just starting to learn sheet music and I don't understand why it's played as an Eb everywhere I see this piece.
Thank you for this great tutorial series! It is very helpful! Unfortunately the link to the album with the fingerings does not work for me? is it still online or is it just not public?
Paul, or anyone watching this video, if you could watch my recording of Liebestraum no 3, and tell me what you think I would be much obliged
10:57 I need some help with the right hand
Still need help?
Ok, so I am wondering if I am ready for this piece yet. I am 14, I know how to play "Clair de Lune" by Debussy and "Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2" by Liszt. Is that good enough to learn this piece?
for how long have you been playing ?
Yes I think so
i think hungarian rhapsody is on another level
I've been playing for 10 years.
The GreenShawki if you can play hungarian rhapsody 2 you can definitely play liebestraum 3
And now somebody should tell me that fidget spinner videos do have more views...
