I'm a 27yo brazilian girl and a little lost in life, it's not even spring here in Brazil, it's autumn, but I love your videos and they've really helped me see life in a different way that's more like what I really want for me... I feel exhausted trying to live a life in which my value is based exclusively on the job I have and hate, my looks or the things I can buy (but don't need) while the things that really matter to me seems to have no importance or value at all, or even worse, are seen as a "waste of time" such as journaling or working with something more artistic, for example. I don't usually comment on anything, but maybe it's good for you to know that you've been reaching people all over the world. Thank you so much for sharing so much knowledge and wisdom!!

To me, it sounds like you are not so lost because you know what is important to you. When you live your life according to someone else's values, you will feel very depleted. So don't let others dictate to you what is a waste of time!

      @@ShesUnreal Thank you so much!
That's the change I hope to achieve, unfortunately sometimes we end up doing what is expected of us and not what makes us truly happy because that's all we were told to do our entire lifes, but I've reached my limit and Ana's videos are very inspiring to me.
Thank you again for your kind words and advice!

It's difficult to stop allowing our jobs and our looks to dictate who we're supposed to be. But as someone 40 years your senior, I can assure you that looks and jobs change. YOU will evolve. There's a big difference, and I think you're on the right path.

Dear Rafaela, I'm so glad to know you through this comment! Thank you for letting me see you ❤️ I can feel every word you've put and I resonate with it. You know your own values and no one can take it away from you. Life changes constantly, you have a lot of time to figure things out. Listen to yourself and don.t be afraid to act. I wish I was as thoughtful as you when I was 27 😅 Sending much love and support your way. You be you 🌷

Ana- I have a lot of anxiety, too. I love your idea for dealing with yours. It helps to know that others feel the same way. Georgia O’Keefe said, “ I have been absolutely terrified every single day of my life but I never let it stop me from doing a single thing I wanted to.”

Privet Ana and thank you for your lovely, calm videos and your heartful presence. I loved the idea of photo journaling, maybe I'll try that some day too. Also I think it's a fantastic idea to write all fears (and perhaps other emotions as well?) down in the journal, so go for it! I do emotional journaling almost on a daily basis whenever I feel something's bugging me. Then I sit down with some music that usually starts palying in my mind and play it and that always brings the emotions forth so that I can relelase it and understand "the story" behind them. I've been doing this kind of emotional clearing work already for years and it has taught me a great deal of myself, the stranger I was to myself way too long. I've also been rather fearful in my life but diving in to myself, my inner self has become the easiest part. The most difficult part has been trying to live in this physical world ,"out there", but I'm managing in my own ways. Lots of love from Finland 🥰

My effort this spring to create a new habit is to gradually walk a little further each week. I have a small pedometer that I keep in my pocket. My average per day at the beginning of the year was around 6-7,000 steps and now my average is 7-8,000 steps per day.

Ana, you may feel fearful, however, you are a very courageous person, because you choose to move through and past the fear.
I was a very sick child and I became more and more anxious as my world shrank and I sensed my families fears concerning me. However, once I became healthier I realized I no longer wanted to live in that limiting world of fear. I decided to think of what would be the scariest experience for me that others felt completely safe doing. That turned out to be being the central focus of strangers and possibly doing something embarrassing. I was 14 at the time when I took a drama class. It helped me to see that rarely does most scary things actually pan out as our imagination would have us believe. As long as an action or event is in actuality safe, I know if it scares me I should do it to see if the result can open a door to a wonderful experience as well as amazing myself by bolstering my confidence.

When I was struggling with a child’s illness I had many terrible emotions. Over time, I managed de-construct the emotions and I found that I could carry the suffering of loss, sadness but the suffering that came with fear was unbearable. I do not know exactly how I managed to conquer fear…but detangling it from other emotions was part of the process. I think I also started getting angry at being fearful and started emulating other people who seemed to not live in fear. As well, I came to understand that even if the worst did happen, I would not unravel and be destroyed. But if I continued to live in fear, destruction was likely.

Hi Ana, gee, this is such a thoughtful and relevant video! Like you, spring brings a sense of foreboding for me. I used to look forward to this season but now, with all the extreme weather changes, I have grown fearful. Out here in CA spring means that fire season is soon to come, and the potential for more extensive destruction of our land. But this morning I see that a flock of quail have returned to my back yard and I will be filling the feeder for them once again. Seeing these silly birds just makes my day, as does your weekly video. Thank you Ana ❤❤

Привет, Ана 😊 I just wanted to share something I heard recently (in a podcast on psychology and the mind). Whenever you feel an inner conflict or feel stuck between different feelings or desires, remember that all these different parts of you are trying to protect you. For example, a desire for change may be trying to protect you from stagnation, but at the same time fear may just be your mind trying to protect you from loss and pain. For me it was a huge shift in perspective to realise that fear (or any part of you you don't like) may actually be looking out for you, even if in a misguided or unhelpful way. Just sharing in case it strikes a chord with other people out there too 🌷

I see what you mean by going through frightening scenarios but always feeling fearful. I've experienced the same myself several times. Although fearful is the last word I'd use to describe you, considering what you've gone through in your life and still are. There's a quote upon my desk stating: "You don't get rid of something by avoiding it but only by going through it" and I know that's the bare truth. Yet, I think there's a fine line between stretching your limits when you feel they can be challenged and forcing yourself to do something you're not ready for and you'll maybe never be. Your idea about facing your fears by putting them in rhymes is genius 😮I hope it'll work for you ❤🙏

I do all my personal writing in my mother tongue, not in English, so it's difficult to share 😊 And the rhymes so silly that I would feel embarrassed. My advice is just go with the words souns good together and brings some meaning alongside with humor. The other day I wrote a rhyme about my fear of failure and then laughed out loud reading what I wrote about it. It immediately reduced the drama and seriousness of my fear 😅
