Ranking Every March 2024 Monstercat Release

- WHY ARE SO MANY SONG TITLES AND ARTIST NAMES IN ALL CAPS THIS MONTH??? Anyways I thought this month was weaker than January and February which is unfortunate. There was a lot of heavy dubstep and some basic house but there were a few gems like pretty much every month since I've been doing this. Reminder that these are just my opinions so don't take them too seriously.
Oops! All riddim!
7 riddim/briddim tracks this month
so happy that riot ten made their way into the label 😒
Monstercat Uncaged March 2024 in a nushtell: R I D D I M S P A M 🚨
"Wait... It's all riddim?"
"Always has been"
Not gonna lie the riddim/dubstep tracks this month actually slapped especially beams. Forgot if you listened to his veggie friends EP but that was really good especially the first released and the 2nd to last released one. Top 3: Whipped cream-still? Just such a vibey song with amazing vocals, 2nd would prolly be data, considering I’m a big sucker for bass house (hence why Habstrakt is my favorite EDM artist) and 1 would be decimate since I’m also just a sucker for anything bossfight related lol
It seems that Monstercat is not ready for Infekt trench ✋️🗿✋️
the funniest part of the riot ten remix is the fact that the most ear-grating dubstep artist remixed a random tech house song, that will never not be funny
I didnt realize how good we had it with uncaged 1-6 and instinct 1-3 until it was too late
so real
What a roughest start and finish for Monstercat in March and not good sense, due to the massive amount of average Riddim tracks on Uncaged and generic House songs on Instinct. In effect, the label failed to improve on last month's failures (February). At least Falling in Love, You Want Me, Genesis, need you and Decimate we're the most remarkable things of the month.
Yeah agree with you, this month was really mediocre and eorst one this year so far in my opinion
@@imafloatingpontoon32Definitely. Let's hope things start to improve in April on the label.
One of the worst months in mcat history lol.
We all agree with that and makes March 2023 look much better LMAO.
one of the best cuz I love Dubstep lol
@@getrektson8702 i like dubstep, but particularly melodic brostep and futurestep and drumstep
@@israelmorales1599Oh no, no march is a match for 2022’s march!
Eh I disagree there's FAR worse
19. A DISGUSTing but decent song
18. Honestly liked this cus it’s INKEFT on MC
17. Idk what the RIOT remixes will be like, but it was an okay but boring remix
16. Honestly pretty good for BEAUZ’s standards
15. Also never heard the OG song, but it was a decent to good song
14. Imo the best debut of this month in terms of riddim
13. It was gud
12. WHIPPED CREAM on Instinct was surprising and I liked it
11. It’s SKYLER’s actual best song somehow
10. Would’ve has Alphane or Data as the upload, but I liked this
9. It was gud for Shaq
8. Dirtyphonics’ album singles have all been hype
7. An insane song fr!
6. HAPPY SONG 2.0 is not on the same levels as it, but it’s Rap Volpe, so it’s automatically great
5. Different for Codeko, but it gud
4. It’s Bossfight
3. No Mana now has an album releasing soon and this one was good
2. Just your normal fun song from the Teddy boiz
1. Technically the actual best on Emergence, alongside Heavy Heart
Man he too strict on Beams (it's too good) and Promise, but Riddim was nice and Bossfight and Teddy Killerz started to bore me
Riot Ten remix better be last instead of Creation of Disgust
Good month, what are you thoughts on NCS in 2024 (by far)?
man i just realized that vowl. is on that no mana track. vowl. makes some pretty dope dark trap
The Uncaged equivalent of Instinct's diversity nowadays would be, instead of the house spam like on Instinct, it would be briddim spam on Uncaged 😂
That's what I had thought following what happened this month on Monstercat. If we had a lots of generic/radio-friendly House tunes on Monstercat Instinct since April 2023, we could have an massification of average/obnoxious Riddim tracks via Monstercat Uncaged for the rest of the year. Let's hope this is not so much the case and they're diversify the release catalog more in the coming months. 😬
It’s not that riddim on Monstercat is bad, as someone who enjoys the genre, it’s just that they’re signing the WRONG riddim! It’s all pretty mid for normal standards, and only if someone at Monstercat HQ knew the underground scene, we’d have better songs from the genre. Trust. Riddim = good mostly!
Here’s my Ranking:
WORST
- INFEKT - BEAMS
- Ownboss & Sevla - RIOT (Riot Ten Remix)
- No Mana, vowl. & Leyla Dimondi - Falling In Love
- Codeko & ALLKNIGHT - Alibi

- BEAUZ & Yola Recoba - Promise (feat. Darla Jade)
- Blanke & Au5 - Turmoil
- Dirtyphonics & Circadian - You Want Me
- AVANCE - CREATION OF DISGUST (feat. Qoiet)
- SKYLER & REMNANT.exe - GENESIS
- Bossfight - Decimate
- RZRKT - Dread
- DIESEL & LEVEL UP - NEXT LVL
- Slushii - Dancing With Myself (feat. Aviella)
- Ray Volpe - SEE YOU DROP
- Teddy Killerz - Johera
BEST
Maybe I'm just starting to feel what everyone else has been feeling over the past few years, but this year has been really underwhelming so far. Not a whole lot that I would return to. Although hot take, Instinct is actually keeping me interested in the label this year. Yeah, a lot of it is house, but at least the house we got is more interesting than alot of the deep house/tech house cuts from last year.
19. Bland riddm #1
18. I like INFEKT's style tbh
17. Lol Riot Ten in the label
16. Zzz
15. Bland Riddm #2
14. Uh ok
13. I don't like the vocals lol
12. Chill
11. Banger
10. Wow pretty hard hitting, didn't expect Au5 to make riddim
9. Definitely the best from LEVEL UP
8. Oh wow the hedgehog album cover is back
7. Fire
6. I feel like this will be played in every dubstep festival
5. I love these kinds of house songs
4. Why is almost every song from Uncaged riddim
3. No Mana is definitely one of the best Instinct artists right now
2. Pretty cool
1. I love the guitar sounds in here
BEAMS THAT LOW??? Nah, that song is the best against all Infekt songs last year! If you brainwash yourself you’ll enjoy that kind of riddim lmao… it’s true
Just me seeing you put BEAMS that low made me realize...
You're not ready for real music
Not sure if I was just busy with life, but the only songs I was excited for were the debut of REMNANT.exe and the return of Bossfight. I'm concerned whether Monstercat's quantity will soon become a bigger problem or not.
Creation Of Disgust: 58/100 [i bet my brother hates this because of the screeching vocals]
Beams: 50/100
Riot (Remix): 50/100
Promise: 69/100
Don't Speak: 56/100
Dread: 50/100 [zzz]
Dancing With Myself: 86/100
Still?: 70/100
Genesis: 75/100
Turmoil: 73/100
Next Lvl (Crankdat Uncredited): 69/100 [Decent coming from a former basketball player]
You Want Me: 49/100
Alphane: 80/100
See You Drop: 89/100
Alibi: 76/100
Decimate: 77/100
Falling In Love: 75/100
Johera: 89/100 [What if soon, Teddy Killerz come to NCS ARCADE?]
Data: 72/100
Damn Turmoil mad underrated
nah, kinda generic compared to the amazing stuff that Au5 does
Frankly, couldn't even set up a proper ranking for this month. At least February had some highlights. Not much really interested me here.
If the Riot Ten remix is based on the name, probably is to be fair, then I hope to see a remix from Riot (the dogma resistance bois) and Virtual Riot. Far superior producers so hopefully better remixes
Really I don't mind the amount of heavy dubstep on the label this month but I wasn't a huge fan of BEAMS and Creation of Disgust either, even if I normally like both artists. RZRKT, No Mana, and Blanke were the standouts this month to me
19. Eww that vocal is just fucking obnoxious and the drops empty as heck
18. Admittedly the overall idea for the sound design is pretty cool but its execution just sounds unlistenable
17. Imo the og was actually very fire, so im kinda mad at Riot Ten for ruining it with his remix
16. When i was still hugely into NCS last year, i heard BEAUZs remix of Alan Walkers Dreamer and it basically sounded like this, namely like trash
15. Trust me, the og that this song covers is not smth you need to hear, cos its boring af and somehow still became a classic, but this is even so much worse and the fact that i cant enjoy GGs vocals doesnt help at all
14. I ... dont really have anything to say anymore i mean, whats happening to MC atm with them releasing so many formulaic Riddim songs?
13. The drops arent smth i can care for too much, theyre just some basic 2015 like Future Bass, but man, was that vocal processing rly necessary?
12. This is not one of the artists i wouldve expected to be on instinct, and while her sound may not exactly be my thing, i still rly respect it, but this is just a generic ass instinct house tune
11. Wait isnt this like Hybrid Trap or smth and not Hardwave? Anyway, those rising melodies in the drops are SICK!
10. Ive already said this in my ep ranking (which you could check out btw), but man, is that 2nd drop on fire!
9. Im also a pretty big fan of those lyrics saying "Level up", and the drops arent as obnoxious as i think most songs on the lp were
8. I wish the dnb drops kept up the energy the hard dance drop has, but nonetheless its still a definite playlist add and im pretty hyped for the lp
7. Nope this song unfortunately wasnt rly for me
6. The only place id see myself enjoying this track is prolly a festival, and im kinda still too young to got to one
5. I wasnt very happy with how this track turned out ngl, i mean i love me some chill house every once in a while but this just aint it for me, also codeko is a pretty loved artist in the melobass community so this songs left me very disappointed
4. Yeah, unfortunately i gotta agree with you, the mixing is very messy and this song didnt meet my expectations for a bossfight track, the idea for the 2nd drop is agreeably very cool tho, even tho its already been executed way better in toad by kompany & barely alive
3. Sorry but to me, this just feels too much like basic instinct house, especially in the drops
2. The vocals in a foreign language were deffo a pretty cool addition, but i just couldnt ever rly care for teddy killerz' drops tbh
1. Yeah i think i might be on the same page with you that this is my fav song of the month
YES BRO DATA BEST OF THE EMERGENCE EPP!!!
19. 0/10 DISGUSTing INDEED
18. 3/10 grew off me
17. 2.25/10 the remix only exists for the fun aspects of its name (they also put out a terrible EP this August)
16. 6.5/10 grew on me, miles better than the Dreamer Remix
15. 6/10 grew off me, the Speed House drop gives me CHYL vibes lol
14. 6.75/10 also grew on me, imo Immortal from June was a bit similar to this
13. 5.75/10 wait what Slushii made a good song- (imo the E.L.E comp was a disaster)
12. 4.5/10 WHIPPED CREAM casually being the most inconsistent with the genres of all time
11. 7.5/10 forgot this existed
10. 7.75/10 okay I actually like this now hehe
9. 6/10 grew on me, his EP from last year was basically a nightmare
8. 8.5/10 ran out of reasonings
7. 7.5/10 fun fact: the uncredited vocals are by Sullivan King
6. 8.25/10 Why do I find this soo similar to RZRKT Immortal ?!
5. 9/10 ye what a vibe fs
4. 8.75/10 ran out of reasoning again lol
3. 8/10 Digital Friends was imo an absolute bop also
2. 8.75/10 they went full-on hayve style here lol
1. 9.25/10 grew back on me, I used to criminally underrate this
19. Weird
18. He's done way better
17. Different from riot ten
16. Huh
15. Sounds bad
14. Decent
13. Sounds like 5 year old girl
12. Nice
11. Nice
10. Incredible
9. Fuego
8. I don't want you
7. Sounds like I'd enjoy it
6. Fuego
5. Codeko on monstercat?
4. Fuego
3. Decent
2. Unique
1. Blanke house?
Top 3: Data, still?, Falling In Love
Bottom 3: Johera, You Want Me, Dancing With Myself
I typically enjoy INFEKT's stuff but BEAMS is not a good showing for him, he shouldve debuted with something less polarising, also Avance on Monstercat hardly makes any sense but its cool that that happened but the screamo stuff is way too intense for me to enjoy
LOVE what RZRKT did, that first drop was so unpredictable
Here My Ranks:
19. Weird And DISGUSTing (It's My Guilty Pressure)
18. Eww
17. Boring
16. Too Boring
15. Meh
14. Mid
13. Happy Seeing Slushii & Aviella Back With A Nice Songs
12. Interesting Whipped Cream On Instinct

10. Nice
9. Glad Seeing Shaq Back On MCat
8. Banger
7. It's So Sick
6. Insane (Wanna Vote BO2024)
5. Nice Songs
4. Banger
3. Nice Songs
2. What A Great Songs
1. Nice Blanke's EP
i swear the only good parts of the riot riot ten remix is the second drop and the name, aside from that it's just a mess
March 2024 trying not to be the worst month possible: (not just in monstercat lmfao)
Yeah. I agree of Creation of Disgust being at the bottom. It sounds so bad. I couldn’t even finish the whole song because I just didn’t want to hear it. I would say Next Level and Dancing With Myself are the best this month had to offer
March: the month of riddim
19. Actually out of all the riddim I thought this one was arguably the best. The drops were fine
18. This one I thought was the worst. Unbearable
17. Idk if this is techno but I also don’t like that we’re getting a lot of techno
16. I didn’t dislike it but I know BEAUZ can do better
15. This one was kinda bad. GG was ok but I don’t like the drops
14. I guess it’s bearable?????
13. Not bad, aviella is pretty solid but her voice is better without the chipmunky stuff
12. Bro wtf
11. This one was good in a pretty horrendous month.
10. Another solid track I mean it’s au5. Collab fell a little flat
9. I didn’t really care for this one it felt forced and boring.
8. yellow lol. Circadians release last year I liked this one was worse but not bad
7. Didn’t listen to his ep but this sounds a little too heavy for me personally
6. This one was actually good. Ray is actually bringing solid songs.
5. I don’t like that vocal chop at the end of the bar but it’s really beautiful. My favorite from instinct this month
4. Forgot to listen to it.
3. Not bad. I think they could’ve gone further to make it better
2. Not too bad but a little too in your face for a casual listen
1. Ehhhh just from hearing the drop maybe not my favorite
So this is what the label is becoming… fuck
That was pretty promising/good month at the beginig and then second half with dubstep happend... Johera, SEE YOU DROP, falling in love, Alibi, Turmoil, Genesis, You Want Me was a nice standouts the rest kinda mid or trash for me Unfortunately :/
junistep rules!!!
i love INFEKT lol
rzrkt 🗣🗣🗣🗣
wtf bro promise is techno
Definitivamente este tipo no es fan dek riddim, bueno lo respeto
What a fall off from Jan 24🥲. Hoping they sign on some good songs for April
Beams goes hard
