That was John Tumpane that called the balk, not Lance Barrett. And balk should have been the correct call.

I find it funny that the graphics people mixed up the split screen, the balk is on the left not the right.

You don't HAVE to throw from the stretch just because there are runners on. Also, the windup typically involves the ball and glove not being separated. Once again, commentators who don't know the game.
They were correct on the balk call, so I can understand Murphy's frustration.

Exactly. You don't have to stop in the windup, as the announcers said, but the pitcher clearly was not in the windup. He was pitching from the set (stretch).

With no runners on base the pitcher in the set position doesn't have to stop some people call this a quick pitch. With runners on any base the pitcher needs to stop in the set position. This is a balk because the pitcher did not stop in the set position why was it changed ???

I don't see how this is a balk. The split screen shows night and day he didn't change a thing, he was using his natural motion. You shouldn't be forced to change if there a man on base

Because with no runners on base the pitcher doesn't need to stop in the set position(Split screen left) (Right screen) Balk called because runners on base.
