Extremely helpful across the two videos! I'm trying to get to FR and the easiest option seems to do a M.A. so thank you! I love that you gave us the resources, so many people don't remember to give links! It's also great to know what I'll be paid, I'm "old" too hahaha

This was great. One more question, how long before the actual start of your master courses did you sign the “contrat professionnel “? I was told you can legally sign 3 months in advance then a different person told me 2 months in advance.

Tiana, thank you so much for these videos. Regarding the alternance, do you know if museums and other government institutions offer an alternance, or does it have to be a private company? I am most interested in art history and historic preservation, and I'm assuming that all museums in France are nationalized, so I wanted to know my options. Please get back to me ASAP. Thank you!

      Hi Jennifer!
Yes, there are some in every field! It's not as common for the museums and similar institutions to use interns so it may be harder to find, but it definitely exists.

@@WhereTianaTravels Thank you so much!! That's definitely really helpful. PS--You said in another video--maybe last year's--that an alternance is only available to people who have ben living in the country for at least a year... First, is that definitely true? Second, is it a hard-and-fast rule that absolutely all companies follow, or is it possible to get around that?

    • @WhereTianaTravels

      @@jennifergersch9126 No problem!
Yes, you have to be living in France for at least one year before you can do the alternance program. I’m not sure how strict companies are with that, but I do know that there are at least 4-5 other students in my class who were denied the alternance due to not being in France long enough

Please guide me into this? Can I go for it directly? Will embassy give me study visa even on change of subject or should I apply for master in chemistry and later on, reaching France, should change my subject?

Hi, hope all is well. I'm not certain if I missed it in your video, but what are the steps to apply for free education in France? I'm interested in not pursuing a degree as I have already accomplished many in the states; but I'm interested in studying French in France. Any guidance would be great. Thank you very much.

    • @WhereTianaTravels
      @WhereTianaTravels  2 года назад +3

Hello! Unfortunately most "free" education in France comes from doing a work-study program alongside your degree, usually only offered in fields like business, IT, finance, marketing, etc - so might be difficult to find if you're not looking to go after another degree. There are tons of French programs here but most are paid programs, or you could always apply for a French program at a French public university (they're not 100% free but they are far less expensive than studying in the states would be). You can find the programs here: www.campusfrance.org/en/finding-a-university-programme-France

Yes you'll need to enroll in the Masters first. Each school has a different alternance "rhythm" (some are 1 week at work, 3 weeks at school; some are 3 days at work, 2 days at school, etc) and your job will ask what your rhythm is when you apply

    Hi Mam..
    Lovely evening to you.
I'm just coming across your channel while searching for more information about this program and I'm so glad I did.
Thanks for your explanation as well, it's been really, really helpful.
I'll quickly love to ask a question.
I'll love to apply for L'alternance in culinary art ( as a cusiniere or culinaire, anyone) but I'm finding it difficult finding universities offering this course together with L'alternance BUT on the other hand, I'm seeing a lot of companies offering this role with the word "apprenticeship training" stated. If I apply to these companies, would they be the ones to look for a study institution for me?
Because I was thinking I was supposed to look for the institution and they would provide the employers.
Can you please Clarify me on this.
    Thanks 🙏
