How to Make Burger Buns 🍔

    (Makes 6 Buns)
    500g x Strong Bread Flour
    7g x Fast Action Yeast (instant yeast)
    30g x Caster Sugar
    10g x Salt
    25g x Melted Butter
    300ml x Tepid Milk
    1 x Egg (Beaten)
    Sesame seeds
    1. Place the flour, yeast, caster sugar, salt, melted butter and milk into a mixing bowl and mix to form a dough. Then knead until the dough feels silky smooth. You can do this in a mixer or by hand. Form into a tight ball and place back into the mixing bowl. Cover with a damp cloth and prove in a warm place for 1 hour.
    2. After 1 hour, turn the dough out onto a bench and punch the air out of the dough. Next, divide into 6 equal pieces and roll them into balls. Using a rolling pin, roll each dough ball to around 1.5cm in thickness and place onto a lined baking tray. Cover with a damp cloth and prove for a further 30 minutes.
    5. After 30 minutes, brush the buns with beaten egg and sprinkle them with sesame seeds. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden.
