This didn't work for me. Following a Jamie Oliver recipe for roasting a chicken, I had drizzled olive oil on the bed of veggies (upon which the chicken was placed) and had liberally rubbed oil all over the chicken. Consequently, when I followed this method for making a gravy it was just too saturated in oil and inedible.
Although chicken can be a lean meat there is usually quite a high fat content in whole chicken (especially in the skin), which you have to take into account when adding extra fat/oil. As for the gravy it sounds like you may not have added enough flour to absorb the oil when making the roux for your gravy base.
For those who need help: 150 grams = 3/4 cups 110° C = 230° F

No because with this method we oil the steak not the pan. But there is no right or wrong just experiment and see what works for you

What if I keep mixing my meringue and is still runny
Unfortunately this means that the eggs were not whisked enough before adding the sugar or that the bowl was not cleaned enough. Unfortunately you won’t be able to fix it at that stage and it’s better to start again.

Thank you. There are many variations of tartar sauce and this is just one of them. Some add mustard, some don’t and also you’ll see a lot of different herb variations. Thanks for watching!

Hey, no it’s not needed. You can add sugar and it will speed up the yeast but it’s not necessary. Hope you enjoy them!
I always get confused sometimes it's vinegar sometimes it's a brine 😅
Ah a pickle is usually with vinegar and a brine is usually to make a ferment which after the fermentation becomes vinegary. Hope that makes sense for you. What are you pickling?

Hi no it had a higher protein content. In the Uk we call it strong bread flour. Try and get a bread flour if you can but all purpose will work if that’s all you can get. Hope this helps
