    Cayley is brilliant. One of the few who knew both Illich and Girard well. Both personally as well as their far reaching thought.
    He hits the nail on the head. This truly is a kind of psychosis that would not have developed were it not for the idolization of 'life'.

    Illich's work is a toolbox, but he was heavily influenced by various schools of "suspicion". . there's plenty of irony involved in proclamations of 'deschooling' by someone as laden with degrees from various "institutions" as he was. . .

    So what is against excesses is that all he's got? That's like being against bad things and for good things. Maybe I'm missing.
