      I did lastnight man and I used the power pressuer cooker xl. Came out great. The ribeye cut I had was a full pound and after 40 minutes in mine, it was insane tender. Not a bad way to do it, but id prefer m8ne on the grill

    I tried something similar last night. Technically it was a Beef Stroganoff recipe. Dab of tomato paste for richness, sliced mushrooms, bit of Worcestershire sauce, onion, beef broth, salt, pepper and added sour cream at the end. It was really good but the beef I used was "stew meat". It turned out like stew meat so often does...a bit tough. I sought out your video for advise on the type of beef to use. Cube Steak sounds like it might be the ticket. In your recipe, is it tender when it is served?

    • @JaxxDrinkwater
      @JaxxDrinkwater  7 лет назад

      Yes, it was. Are you using a pressure cooker? In general cube steak is a tough cut of meat but using the pressure cooker it comes out tender.

    • @leighroden1984
      @leighroden1984 7 лет назад

      I did. Just bought it and I'm learning how to use it. The recipe I used has it only cook for 10 mins after it was browned. They seemed "done" but maybe they needed to cook more? Maybe the suggested 20 mins you said?

    • @jasminemarie7044
      @jasminemarie7044 7 лет назад

      I would try 20 minute and quick release to test it. It's a fine line because you cook it too little, too tough, but with the pressure cooker you cook it too much and it shreds up, being too tender. You can always pressure again in five minute increments to check for the tenderness you like.

    • @JaxxDrinkwater
      @JaxxDrinkwater  7 лет назад

      Yes, I would try 20 minutes and do what Jasmine Marie says "quick release" the pressure , see how it goes.

    Do I have to pound steak, and fry steak before using pressure cooker

    • @JaxxDrinkwater
      @JaxxDrinkwater  7 лет назад

      no you don't have to. Browning the steak gives it more flavor in my opinion though.

    So if I use 1 pound of meat instead of two (this morning I only pulled one out of the freezer to thaw) would I reduce the rest of the ingredients as well?

    • @JaxxDrinkwater

      No, you will just end up with extra gravy and who will complain about that?😉

  • @Alycanj

    Talk about a long way to cook cube steak, by cutting it so small you can fry it off, use oil to make gravy and simmer it all together for 15 and use the pressure cooker for 6 minute rice at the end of the simmering and be done and eating while your still frying off in several pans,

    • @JaxxDrinkwater
      @JaxxDrinkwater  8 лет назад

      +Dangerna Cool , I think you should do a video on it.

    • @Kaththee
      @Kaththee 3 года назад

      If you only simmered cubed steak for 15 minutes on the stove top, it would be as tough as leather. The point of the pressure cooker is to take the place of cooking it slow and low for hours. Jaxx is being polite.
