No pain, no gain.
Ride on Hon Commissioner 👍
Well done Commissioner Wahab for a good job. We must learn from the flash flood disaster that happened in Nairobi, Kenya last week,.
Commissioner Wahab, ride on sir
Shanties in Lagos is 5&6, Lagos is over populated and no proper governance from all state ministries and agencies.
Active commissioner of environment. Well done Oga Wahab
Kudos to LASG. Without strong enforcement, Lagos will become unlivable. 👍👍Comissioner Wahab, ride on sir
Wow
Who signed doe's documentation before building should be arrested for all this destruction truths
Great efforts by the commissioner on environment in enhance the quality of living in Lagos state. However, important questions remain unanswered. The government should allow dialogue and not just issuing evacuation notice and one week later, they go gun blazing for structure of over 20 years or more and think they are right. Let things be done right.
How ca n the government improve aspects of our community life that it has yet to address comprehensively?
For instance, our bus stops were built without conveniences such as toilets, considering bus-stop and public building were constructed at substantial costs. Yet, the state's socioeconomic policies remain largely theoretical, existing only on paper. What actions is the government taking regarding broader infrastructure plans?
While there is a focus on roads, other critical areas like housing, schools, clinics, markets, water channels, and leisure/recreation parks seem neglected.
I believe the responsibility primarily rests with the government to provide the framework and setting the path for the essentials infrastructure.
The commissioner noted that the people in the one affected areas have access to government documents, citing criminality but such document should be made public Yet, it is important to recognize that among those living in the affected areas are influential figures and even top government officials. The reality is that building on water spaces for over 20 years is an expensive endeavor, yet these buildings are still in good condition. The government exists to serve the people, ensuring their well-being and safety. It is crucial that the Environmental Commissioner visits government-owned schools, hospitals, health centers, markets, and other buildings to honestly assess their impact on the environment and advise the government on necessary improvements.
After all, charity begins at home. In the pursuit of justice, it is imperative that we apply the laws fairly and equitably, without different rules for different people.
Abeg where in the world do have public toilets at BUS STOPS?
@@okeoja4447 please don't misunderstood me, what I was highlighting in fact the same government do things wrong.
Is it right to build bus-stop N200m without a public toilet or build market in this era without a functioning public toilets? We are elevations lagos state to mega city with mega infrastructure in place. What is the sense in doing so.
We have a commissioner of environment who is saddle with making the environment is preserved but the government is not leading the way.
My point is governmemt should not only compliance of r viti mental laws but also invest and abide by the same law, period
@@femihassan738 I dont know any goverment that spends 200m building ONE BUS STOP . U may have confused "BUS STATION" with" BUS STOPS". Those two are completely different functions. I am pretty sure all the new Bus stations are equiped with public toilets and other amenities which includes small convenient stores and food kiosk. But no country anyhwere in the world put a public toilets at a bus stops which are just designed for buses to make a quick 1 min or 2 mins stops to drop off and pick up passengers. ITS a matter of security concerns having toilets even in the subways systems in advance world bcos criminals have taken advantage of this places to rape or even commits act of murder and thats the reason why they dont put public toilets in such places. I stand to be corrected my brother.
Proud of this
To me who is the one that approves the building.... something is wrong somewhere 😮
Who is the person in there they had access to?
Bring those people to book and not bringing houses down!!
Lagos is dirty sir. Your unit has not been working over the years even since inception of BAT. You need to work tirelessly. We have 100’s of these in Lagos.
kudos to Commissioner of Environment !!
Pls come to Italy,Canada, united states and Germany there’s a lot house in downtown London never been destroyed.after building a house with millions of dollars or naira after being approved by the present only for another come and said your home is on the road. Goes straight to lekki and Victoria island is all about money and story.naija is not country,l don’t know if the British can come over again.Nigeria is too corrupt.
Very wicked human beings in government. Don't invest in Lagos. Build house in your community if jou live in overseas. My friend used 1.5 billion to build factories and mansions in the east at home instead of mad Lagos
If LASG does not enforce building and environmental codes, Lagos will be unlivable
I
I am curious to know the ethnicity of those property owners.
Why must we tribalise every issue.
@@samthecreator10 well i asked that question due to usual accusations of specifically targeting their houses for demolition due to fall out from last year's election by a particular ethnic grooup in Lagos
@@okeoja4447 okay I get you. Well obviously people don't know how to move on.
@@samthecreator10 exactly.
Removing illegal buildings on airport safety routes, NNPC pipeline routes, NEPA high tension wire routes, is not an ethnic issue. It is a matter of safety for all
NO FREE AIR IN LAGOS STATE EVERY WERE SO JAPAD
What is actually wrong with Nigeria government please they should come develop countries rather than destroying private property.come to America and see how the economy moving not destroying private property.there are houses on roads which does not affect the roads.
I guess people build in unauthorized places in America right? You better gets your facts straight my friend
People are building on airport safety routes, NEPA high tension cable routes, NNPC cable routes, what is wrong is wrong
