While it looks goofy, it’s actually pretty functional. In ZOE1, a cutscene shows Jehuty kneeling down to allow Celvice (I believe that was her name) to get into the cockpit with Leo. That’s a lot more convenient than your typical mobile suit for which you need a winch or the MS’s hand to gain access to the cockpit.
Fantastic review, I like that lately you're (unvoluntarely) including some funny bits in your videos (the slow-mo part...btw still waiting for a rage review on Shepard) that make them even more entertaining. I have to say I agree about this being an insanely good looking figure with outstanding engineering...sadly, this being SENTINEL also means that it's too fragile and the price point is equally as insane. I wish it at least included some diecast parts in the joints.
They add some color to the review, they're gettin a bit to sterile lately. As for Shepard I'm not sure when/if that will happen as I have a few 'different' videos planned that take a bit more time. The joints are diecast by the way, I totally forgot to mention that!
i dont know how many times have i watched this vid. This figure is just super cool. I have to say this is my favorite fig and review of yours, next would be the ryuko senketsu ver.
i really liked this figure of anubis but the difference in the colors and the lack of better reverse knee articulation is bothering me i may say the sentinel anubis might be the better anubis out of the box (literally, you dont have to do anything to it), but i find the kotobukiya one to be the more accured and better looking if you go and put some work on it with the panel lines/metatron energy, the dark brown and gold parts and the binders connected on their own separated joint for more freely articulation (not much of a problem in the sentinel anubis because of the but joint and extra base) nice review as always
Revoltech's looks a lot more like how you see him in ZOE 1 because of the dark, warm-colored lighting where you don't see much of Anubis at all besides then.
Ebay and amazon have them, but its expensive. 200+$. Still, I have it and it is the best looking thing I have ever seen in terms of mech figures. COmpletely replicates the coolness from the games. If you ever do decide to get it, be very gentle with the plastic which handles the vector traps (wings), as they could break easily if you try to force an angle.
There is a new figure of Anubis called Mecha of the Gods and I'm sorry but that one just blows this one out of the water. Its really badass you guys have to check it out.
160 bucks!! man it sure does look like its worth every penny. anubis is one of my favorite designs from ZoE, and if I had the extra scratch I'd totally buy it. Btw, how hard was it not to make like 100 Wang jokes about the cockpit??
Yea, it's knees are supposed to be reverse jointed to keep with the dog/jackal look. That's quite disappointing actually. And for it's price point, I'll stick with my Kotobukiya kit. I am really jealous of those decals though, specifically the name one on the head. It's always one of the most noticeable part of the Orbital Frames in terms of the more fine detail.
fantastic review as always maan...i realy like your reviewing style lol....btw i still hoping u can make video review for sentinel monster hunters line up lol...piss
Man I wish you figure reviewers say something about the average price of the figure, I mean I always see figures with ridiculous prices on Amazon and can't tell if they really cost that much or the sellers are being greedy.
As long I love the the Zone Of The Enders games, this is something too delicate for my taste :/ I means in the game it looks awesome but as a figure it looks very fragile :(
while I agree that this is indeed an awesome and epic figure on its own, to me the koto kit, which I have, still takes the cake as best anubis figure out there (as lomg as you put a bit of effort into it). I just dont like the added design liberties they put on this piece. for absolute game accuracy, nothing, as of yet, can best the koto anubis. and yes, the knees are only supposed to bend foward, which is really weird, but it is what it is. I also dont like that the binders always stay at that angle and you cant really spread them out. but all in all, this is still an amazing looking figure. i do recommend you check out riobot gurren lagann for another amazingly awesome figure
Oddly enough this apparently is accurate to Anubis's Leg joints. While the Anubis mostly postures with the reverse leg bend it was built to have a traditional leg bend as well to ensure it could move properly over terrain. (Though technically it has a digigrade leg structure akin to the Hugo from G-Tekketsu. Seems the ones who wrote that description for its legs didn't know to call it Digigrade...) Edit: The Leopardo uses the incredible articulation of its Frame for for its Bridge Run mode and its fighting style of using all 4 of its bladed limbs. Such articulation was only possible thanks to the data of the Anubis's frame that was collected by BAHRAM after they stole Anubis. Same with Narita and other new generation Orbital Frames.
Hot DAMN this thing is cool.
+JobbytheHong Do a review for it :D
+Diablo Mask i second that review
JobbytheHong. senpai
Ah Jobby, if only the cock got swivelled. I meant cock pit ofc.
Notice me!
I feel alot of people in the comments havent played zone of the enders
........A cockpit at the crouch area......
Wonder what was the designers thinking when they designed this
Av_ B3Y0ND it was originally a joke but kojima liked it and it stuck.

@MIRAGE MAZINKAISER SAGA but does it do *vigorous elongation*? Cuz i also watch that shet 😂
Love these games. This is also probably my favorite orbital frame from the games
I literally laughed my ass off when he moved the cockpit X))
This figure looks amazing. That copper colour looks great.

i wish someone made a actual metal model of anubis >__
i feel that.. lol then it would be worth the $200. but plastic?? nah
i dont know how many times have i watched this vid. This figure is just super cool. I have to say this is my favorite fig and review of yours, next would be the ryuko senketsu ver.
God this guy's enthusiasm can't help but make you want whatever he's talking about hahaha
Years later I just got him. Found Anubis for a reasonable price in Australia
1:43 when you are truly family friendly
Is there a high quality Jehuty figure available such as this? If so, it would be great if you could do a review on that as well.
yes
MZ freak Thanks, Harambe. Your legend will live on.
*Dicks out*
What store or website did you order this figure from
Looking back at this....
it reminds me of IBO
It should be the other way around tho
i really liked this figure of anubis but the difference in the colors and the lack of better reverse knee articulation is bothering me

nice review as always
This and Revoltech version are both supposed to be videogame accurate? Because the paint colours are different.
Revoltech's looks a lot more like how you see him in ZOE 1 because of the dark, warm-colored lighting where you don't see much of Anubis at all besides then.
We're is that figure from? I don't recognize it.
Are there any other figures like this one that can compare?
+James Kilts It's from Zone of the Enders, a PS2 game by Hideo Kojima. Theres also the riobot Jehuty as well.
a fuck konami game
Holy Shit! I need this ASAP!
*clicks the link*

Is this a model kit?
I'm a huge fan of the games, the anime as well

Very hard! Ba bum tssh!
Thats a very cool figure....its been a long time playing ZOE, when MGS2 came out.
figure noob here, which figma was that?
Hope Riobot/sentinel reissue this and Jehuty again. Got mine MIB. I feel like ThreeZero probably can do justice with Jehuty and Anubis.
That weapon in his front...... When anubis is behind you
Hey Mecha!!! Great review, c'mon, give us a Riobot Jehuty review!!! I know you need it.

+scythedd7 Look man, I have both the Koto Jehuty and the Riobot Jehuty. There is truly, truly, no comparison.
This design is so cool that I really don't mind the dick joke
fantastic review as always maan...i realy like your reviewing style lol....btw i still hoping u can make video review for sentinel monster hunters line up lol...piss

As long I love the the Zone Of The Enders games, this is something too delicate for my taste :/
I means in the game it looks awesome but as a figure it looks very fragile :(

The revoltech you mean haha

I am so sorry for mentioning this but the position of the cockpit looks like uhhh a .....you should already know.
Yeah, just drop the 'pit'!
I thought that was a codpiece.
Kevin Le everyone knows about where the cockpit is
It kind of feels like an Eva
