That,s what I always say: Blackmore let the music to take breath - not like Malmsteen fingersprinter, who is dull after 1 minute - and has a fantastic rythm creativity.
Great and underrated album was Made in Europe. You fool No one was amazing. The way that Paicey and Glen drove it, with Ritchie and Jon adding the class riff.
They sure do! I just posted a video yesterday about noise offering the kinman e69 pickup as an alternative but I just use a boss ns2 to tame the noise.
Awesome! My favorite one! One question: I always had the feeling that RB do not play twice A on the same string at the end of the riff. I feel that the second A is on the A string. What do you think? Anyway, always a pleasure to study your videos ! Very good job!
That would be a clever way to do it but not necessarily hard rock sounding. I think the double A-s on the E string sounds fatter but it is not impossible that he did it with one open A strings. With this tempo, I don't really hear it ringing out as an open string.
@Nicolas Perez Yep, correct, second A sounds far better on the open A string. It's a trick of Blackmore's to incorporate open strings into his riffs and solos, including Stormbringer. Play it aggressively and it sounds perfectly fine. The slide transition A-->G on the E string just doesn't sound right. Also try the open D string in the riff, instead of D at the 5th fret of the A string. Pick on the E (7th fret / A string) from that ... do it aggressively and it sounds fine too. Also, everyone I've seen on here plays the intro chords as Em (or in this case, Em7) and Bm, which sound totally wrong to me. I use E7#9 (the Hendrix chord) - Eb7@9 - E7#9 - Bm7 in the intro and it sounds far better. Pretty sure that's how it's played. Love this song, it spawned one of the best heavy rock songs ever created - Stargazer.
@@kevinmcguinness1113you guys totall convienced me with that open A, the more I listen to it, the more I think you are right. However the open D doesnt sound right. Yeah the opening chords never fully satisfied me either. I like em7 the best but not convienced he did that. The hendrix chord sounds logical but I dont hear that either. Thank you both of you!
@DogwithtwoBones I'd bet money it's the Hendrix chord ... he uses it in other songs as well - Mandrake Root and the intro to Strange Kind Of Woman are two that I can think of off the top of my head. Sounds perfect to me, each to their own. Cheers for the video BTW 👍
Yessir I do have an Aiwa behind me but it is not the TP1011 that Blackmore used but the TP1012 and no I am not using it for this video. But I am working on a video about it of course.
I wonder about that too. The two most likely options is he either destroyed it or gave it away. Cooky said he gifted a lot of his guitars to friends like his other natutal with the rosewood neck to Stuart Smith.

I agree 100%! Blackmore came from blues so he let hs solos breathe indeed. Also he’s weird sense of rhytmic displacement is magical.
My favourite live version of Stormbringer! Thanks for doing a lesson on this!
My favourite too!
That solo transcription was amazing.
Glad you dig it, thanks!
Spectacular!! Perfect rendition. Not an easy one!
Thanks! It is easier if you dont play it note for note just approximately :P
Nicely done 👏👏👏
Thank you!
Great Sound!
Thanks Mirko!

I love made in europe but paris and graz as well. All great shows. Would be amazing to hear the 3rd one made in europe was compiled from.
Great playing!
Thanks!
Fantastic!! 🤩
Thanks!
Fantastic tone, thats spot on 👍
That’s my go to mk3 and rainbow tone, works for mist things pretty nicely. Max’s aiwa pedal with Max’s custom major.
Oh, hell yeah! Sick cover man! And thanks a lot for adding tabs!! \m/
Thanks a lot!
Its amazing! I'd wait 4 this!
Thank you!
FAR OUT MAN! Great playing!
Thanks so much!
blackmore's Night - Carry on Jon. You are the only hope
I thought about that and will definitely do the main theme but I dont think I’ll have the time and energy to do the full song.
@@DogwithtwoBones I understand but at least try
@@DogwithtwoBones But can you show how to play riff Pictures of home? Love this song
@@RBRainbow i have already tabbed and covered the entire song of pictures of home, you can find it on my channel.
Superb!
Thanks Jon!
Dont those fender pickups buzz alot when you slam the signal with the aiwa/hornby pedal into an overdriven amp?

Nice lesson and great tone. By the way what happened to Blackmore’s natural ash stratocaster? Played til 1976? Then vanished. 😮

It got stolen. It was his all-time favourite. Someone somewhere still has that guitar…
@@mgalbu oh thanks Max good to know! I kinda forgot about that possibility. By the end he barely used it though….

The solo doesn't sound like Deep Purple's live version to me.
I based it on this rare version: ruclips.net/video/d89FBc46aMs/видео.htmlsi=TItCOywPUnW_QDrs
