Do you know the power limits of the BMWs 7 Speed DCT, would they handle a 76mm turboed car?

Now I finally got my gtst, my next steps are standalone ecu and this gearbox. Any recommendations?

Look at the Adamat RB/DCT conversion kit and the CANTCU gearbox controller. The CANTCU controller seams to be much easier to setup na tune than the HTG unit used in this car. I'm sure the owner/tuner would have spent many hours on the dyno/street to get the gearbox tuned to this level. CANTCU works with the factory mechatronics, retaining factory BMW drivability and ease of setup.

      Agreed on this one.
Many many hours of pain to get the HTG to this level of usability.
CANtcu would be our choice for a GS7 trans now.
We use Motec electronics for these projects.

@@benchmark.solutions finally commenced my RB30/DCT conversion. Will be using the can TCU controller.

Well this is pretty neat Benchy, how much would this kind of kit set someone back to be done on a Skyline or Chaser etc, could you get away without using a Motec if you were doing it budgetly i know how good Motec is but as a 3rd kind of muck around car

Drive in, drive out conversion is around 25k including transmission.
Others have done it on other ECU's, however the level of refinement by using a torque based ECU in conjunction with the trans calibration makes it difficult to consider another way of doing this package.

      @@gtrlife2941 Hi mate,
we have worked with HPR Tuning who have a GTR kit, though we haven't done a GTR ourselves yet.

Did you have to modify the tunnel? looking at doing the same swap

Yes tunnel needed some massaging due to Bell housing width.
