Ash, with desktop grade CPU and GPU performance coming in the form of SD 8 Elite, don't you think that it's high time that every high end phone should now pack display port support and external desktop mode? We also need pro apps - either native ports or emulated via some kind of translation/emulation layer that Google must focus on. We need at least 1 full fledged video editor, a full blown photo manipulation tool like photoshop/gimp and 3d modeling software like Blender. All the three softwares have ARM ports for other OSs, we need the same on Android as well! What do you think?

On Oneplus 13, cameras are exactly the same you have on Find X8 Pro : same sensors (main Sony LYT-808, X3 LYT-600, ultrawide Samsung JN5, selfie Sony IMX615), same focal and same overture. The only différence about camera is the extra 135mm (X6) IMX858 on Find X8 Pro. It could be funny to compare both to see if Dimensity's ISP and Snapdragon's ISP are that different. Note : LYTIA (LYT) are the new sensors from Sony, the technology reduce noise...old ones are IMX (still used on latest iphone)

For me as a photographer, a physical shutter button on a smartphone is crucial to reduce shake and it's much more comfortable to take pictures with it. Xperia's Sutter button is GOAT it's 10/10...Where as I'll give oppo's one 6.5/10....If it half press to focus and full press to snap then 7.5/8 out of 10

the frame interpolation in your videos work fine enough but sometimes the artifacts are jarring. why not just upload it in 30fps native instead of 60fps interpolated, Ash?
I have it. X8 pro cam is not better than x7 ultra. But more AI features and better UI. But if you don't like mediate then x8 is best choice overall other flagship like mi 15, honor magic8 and vivo.
Oppo could figure out new design of rear cameras arrangement. It feels dated by now and sometimes inconvenient. It's a minor con or rather a matter of taste though. I like what Huawei did with Pura 70 series in this regard.

I'm a hardware nerd, so I feel disappointed when I see that oppo downgraded the ultra wide sensor each generation, from the find x6 pro's 1/1.56" sensor to x7 ultra's 1/1.95" sensor to x8 pro's 1/2.75".

This year every Chinese brand reducing their field of view in Ultra Wide angle lens . They are no more 13mm or 14mm now they have reduced to 15mm and with video stabilization it will reduce more . Thats sad 😢

These camera control buttons placement is awful....it should be around the bottom edges...so that a person can easily click that button/sensor. For both apple/android
Copying the Camera Control is fine. But copying the position and bad control function is pretty much why iPhone clones are always behind in terms of ingenuity. Sometimes you don't need to overengineer something to make it "unique". Heck I'm only mad for it's bad positioning. Would've made the "control" on Camera Control more prominent.

Hell yes they are alive. The image processing with Gcam is far more natural yet more detailed than my S20 FE 5G or samsung's oversharpened over-processed look. Especially the 3x 8MP zoom performance is monumentally better with Gcam. One of the reasons, behind my personal "No Snapdragon = No Buy" policy.
@@Farhan_049 Totally fine. I personally like Google's image processing as it's similar to my mirrorless camera (A6100). The samsung image "appears" crisper but upon zooming, it falls apart which is because of excessive noise reduction and over sharpening. Gcam image is always softer but lot more detailed (jpg size of Gcam is almost 2x bigger than stock jpg). Selfie camera on the S20 FE 5G is very bad and it's totally transformed with Gcam and Gcam lets me shoot raw images from all 4 cameras. I use stock cam only for videos (pro video mode) or for pro photo mode.
@DeepteshLovesTECH I miss that part - I also edit photos in RAW mode, which isn't available on my 21 FE. But with time, it seemed like I didn't need much editing done on it anyway; sure, some of the blues are clearly oversaturated, but it generally makes the image more likeable. Low light photos are awesome on it!

GG V2 gets so many micro scratches.

Hell yes they are alive. The image processing with Gcam is far more natural yet more detailed than my S20 FE 5G or samsung's oversharpened over-processed look. Especially the 3x 8MP zoom performance is monumentally better with Gcam. One of the reasons, behind my personal "No Snapdragon = No Buy" policy.
@DeepteshLovesTECH I also have a 888 powered 21 FE. But it didn't seem bad in terms of camera quality. I'm okay with the stock camera app.
@@Farhan_049 Totally fine. I personally like Google's image processing as it's similar to my mirrorless camera (A6100). The samsung image "appears" crisper but upon zooming, it falls apart which is because of excessive noise reduction and over sharpening. Gcam image is always softer but lot more detailed (jpg size of Gcam is almost 2x bigger than stock jpg).
Selfie camera on the S20 FE 5G is very bad and it's totally transformed with Gcam and Gcam lets me shoot raw images from all 4 cameras. I use stock cam only for videos (pro video mode) or for pro photo mode.
@DeepteshLovesTECH I miss that part - I also edit photos in RAW mode, which isn't available on my 21 FE. But with time, it seemed like I didn't need much editing done on it anyway; sure, some of the blues are clearly oversaturated, but it generally makes the image more likeable. Low light photos are awesome on it!

Hopefully the AI in the zoom is only at 60x. It looks awful. I would prefer the non AI blurry image.
It's only after 60x and you can turn it off - it pops up like the macro toggle
