I love how you went in depth with the music of Re Zero, no matter what I listen to, there's nothing really like it. Also, thank you for putting Petra's theme last, setting us down easy.
I actually got more emotional during episode 4 of season 2 somehow than in episode 15 from season 1. Just because of the thought that Subaru's parents loved him 'til the very end and also because him leaving without even saying goodbye is an action that can never be taken back. He will probably never be able to go back to his old world and won't be able to explain to his parents where he went suddenly. But there's a kind of hopefulness to it too because Subaru now knows that his parents didn't have him to do anything for them or pay anything back. Yes it's sad but Subaru is now able to grow as person thanks to his parents as well.
YES!! The composers direction in both season 1 and 2 in general far surpassed my expectations on how his music painted the perfect mood to convey the overall theme of Re Zero's AMAZING character driven story structure. I always keep rewatching Re Zero and always listen to the music individually as I can't shake this feeling that invokes such melancholy and profoundness that is often rewarding and reinforces the idea that this series in general is a genuine MASTERPIECE rightfully so in my book and so many others as well. If Kenichi Suehiro's pieces had come out way earlier during my high school concert band days, it would've an honor and cathartic pleasure to even play this music. Oh how I miss and long for the days again to be involved in such immersive sounds that really hits spot in all the right places!

Kenichiro Suehiro should have so much more recognition online imo, at least there's no way his career isn't going great though so I can deal with it lol. His compositions for other anime are also amazing, just very different depending on the anime's tone! Look up Shadows House OSTs, it has some really great compositions with this sort of mild ominousness to them.

@@HenricGallardo I think Arc 3 LN and Arc 4 WN are very worth reading, there is a lot of stuff that you should experience as a reader that you couldn't as an anime only. If you can't be bothered I guess you can move on to Arc 6, but personally I enjoyed the journey in Arc 3 and 4 Novels far more than the anime. Imo Arc 3 and Arc 4 are the top 3 arcs of the series along with Arc 6.
The music is really amazing. But in my opinion one composer that beats these, is Kevin penkin. Specifically, the Made in Abyss soundtrack. His way adding the right instruments and sounds at the right times... the type of music in the series, it's just beautiful. The third OST is releasing on the 26th of October this year. I'd highly recommend giving all the soundtracks a listen.

Yeah, to be honest there were a lot more pieces that I wanted to talk about (call of the witch included), but then the video would be about 1-2 hours long....😂 I had to prioritize 😅 Maybe in the future I will do a part 2 of re:zero music, who knows!
