This is actually the first DDR song I'd ever heard. I remember it like it was yesterday... *fog and smoke roll in* The year was 2002 and I was a freshman in highschool when my friend took me over to one of his~ friend's houses to hang out. When we got there the guy was playing Stepmania (which I'd never heard of) and Daikenkai was the song he was playing. He was playing on Heavy and that's the only time in my life I'd had my jaw literally drop from amazement. I remember, I went home and downloaded Stepmania played this song over and over for hours trying to pass it on standard (light mode was always really easy on most songs). I began to pass it with more and more consistency and eventually moved onto being able to barely pass it on Heavy. Months rolled by... *fog thickens and a spotlight shines onto a new scene* My friend and I went to a putt-putt golf place to play in their arcade and that's when I discovered a DDR machine (which I'd never seen before). I didn't even know Stepmania was based on DDR. I'd always thought it was just a fun little music game. We played on that machine for hours (I'd probably played Daikenkai on it about 10 times that day). It was the start of a new hobby for me. Here I am today... *fog dissipates and leaves me standing alone in the spotlight* Able to pass any song on a DDR machine on Expert with extreme ease yet with nowhere to play. DDR machines are hard to come by nowadays. I recall the days where I'd go up to my neighborhood bowling alley (which had an arcade) and play DDR for hours at a time, many times receiving actual money from people who apparently wanted to tip me for my performance (which blew my mind). A dying art though it may be, I can always double click my Stepmania.exe and play the song that sparked it for me. Daikenkai.
@mariposabella89 I know this is old comment, but the lyrics is basically about playing rock paper scissors and giant floating heads shooting laser beams - no really, i'm not being sarcastic.
Till this day I’ll never forget the time I was at Johns incredible pizza playing ddr (probably 10 or 11) and this random Asian kid showed up, picked this song on expert, showed my ass up and left. I knew he was legit cause he would hold the bars behind him while playing.
remember that guy who ALWAYS PICKED DAIKENKAI IN DDR?
That was me.
That was me, as well.

*sigh* I miss when Difficult and Expert were known as Standard and Heavy... Lol
SA has a few machines
This is one of those songs I love listening to while running on the treadmill. Especially when it picks up speed towards the end.
@mariposabella89 I know this is old comment, but the lyrics is basically about playing rock paper scissors and giant floating heads shooting laser beams - no really, i'm not being sarcastic.
The point is that they're nonsensical in japanese.
The meaning of the words doesn't change when you change languages.
there's no bad version of this song
@2:18 you know when that riff kicks in, shit about to go down
One of favorite songs to play on DDR

Is that... a Bayonetta reference? XD "I got a fever, and the only cure is more dead angels!"

"Nonsense from a rotating head"...
When I was a kid and I heard my bro say daikenkai, I thought he meant Donkey Kong
I've created a DDR song for this song. 1014 taps, more originally, 1169 arrows/steps in it.
I do remember that song is daienkai from DDR extreme from PS2.
Perfect zumba song.

Oh, my bad. I thought that you were saying that it's meant to be just like gibberish, and saying that it wasn't in a different language.
