Even tho you think these are repetitive, they’re actually great for those of us who have been following for a long time and can see how long you’ve been using certain things, how you still like them and how you go about replacing what no longer serves you. I love them honestly!

I have that same backpack in black. The sleeve where she keeps the portable charger is actually the water bottle holder. They advertised that it can carry a full bottle of wine. The lining on the inside keeps any liquid from leaking into your bag. It fits my 22 oz Iron Flask water bottle just fine. The company has a lifetime warranty, if anything on your bag rips or gets damage they will fix it for free. I love this bag, completely worth the price.

Tip: For people who have a girlfriend collective fanny pack you can attach the basic bath and body works hand sanitizer holder to the zipper. I dont buy refills I just use the same bottle and refill it at the grocery store as they now have them at every entrance now. Obviously dont buy new B&BW but if you have it laying arround it's very convenient in quickly opening my bag

Random fact my grandma told me: you are aloud to bring wooden knitting needles on a plane, but not metal. So the same probably goes for all cutlery and some other sharp objects. That’s how I was able to get away with knitting in elementary school as well. Because I was able to say “they’re wood and I can bring them on a plane, so I don’t see why I can’t have them here”

I was wondering if you could do a video around how big the Kardashian's carbon footprint is.. I know its not your typical videos but I thought especially now after Kylie Jenner taking a 15 minute private jet during a major climate crisis, it might be a hot topic. I think Kim's skincare brand says that i uses less plastic which would be completely hypocritical to how they live with their huge carbon footprint and water waste.

Last year my aunt lost her sunglasses at a beach in South Carolina while she was in the water. The next day we all went to that beach and were walking along the shore. I spotted some glasses washed up, not knowing she lost them and I was like perfect I could use some sunglasses. Then my aunt noticed they were hers that she lost! Then the next day one of my relatives found sunglasses while we were all sitting in the water. Now I have those sunglasses in my car for when I need them when I drive. So many sunglasses get lost in the ocean it seems like but at least sometimes someone will find them again and hopefully put them to good use!

Love this video and that we really get to see how you use the same items for a long time! Really inspiring to keep using what we have.
I wanted to mention the idea of reef-safe sunscreen. While I wouldn't want to harm the coral reefs, there isn't really good scientific evidence that supports that chemical spf filters are causing coral bleaching in the ocean and that zinc oxide or titanium dioxide aren't. In fact, many coral scientists argue that this conversation about "reef-safe" sunscreens is detracting from the main threats to coral including chemical run-off from fertilizer and warming of the oceans. Lab Muffin Beauty Science has a great youtube video called "Reef-Safe Sunscreen? The Science" summarizing these points with examples of the scientific literature that currently exists. Recommend checking it out! Of course, a sunscreen manufacturer's ethical and sustainable practices are important to consider regardless. Please also remember that wearing sunscreen is important for your health so finding one that you will actually wear is the best option.

I know this isn't quite aligned with your usual content, but could you make a vid about how you care for your stasher/silicone bags? Especially if I put oily things in it or just washing it, I find that there's always residue I can't get off and the bags will take on odor and um give it to whatever food I put in it next.

I caved last fall and got myself an Idaho Jones Pumping bag. Probably the best purchase I've made in the past year. After I had my daughter we weren't able to make nursing work so I started exclusively pumping which meant everytime I left the house I also had to bring my pump, pumping parts, and a breastmilk in a cooler with ice on top of the basic baby essentials. I was lagging around my old backpack as a diaper bag, an old cooler bag, and another bag that came with my pump. It was such a pain! I was able to fit everything from those 3 bags into my Idaho Jones bag since it has a built in collapsible cooler compartment that I use for milk and food with an ice pack. Honestly I would recommend it to anyone, not just parents, it's so amazing.

Please consider making a video about: 1) solar panels on homes (Is this a good idea? Why or why not?? In Texas we have sun and HEAT!)
and 2) environmental-social-governance (ESG) index funds for investing! Americans invest (at least) MILLIONS of dollars into these companies through our retirement accounts and I'd rather not pay to increase the stock prices of unethical companies! (Do you think these are overall good/bad? A good start into new territory?)

Well I ended up paying $20 for a $50 pair and realized that even though they are still plastic there is a difference in quality, sigh. All that to say next time I have to replace my sunglasses I will splurge and get Pela ones.
I am working on switching to more plastic free and reusable everyday items, even though I already did a little, but often I completely forget so it requires constant mental adjustment.

I love that you have your globe necklace in every video! Sustainable jewellery as well as clothing! My "go to" necklace is my trusty 90s style sun and moon necklace in sterling silver. It used to be my beloved menorah necklace, but I'm a bit wary of anti-Jewish racism now, which is a huge shame. I still wear it for Erev Shabbat and at my synagogue, though.
Gosh! I remember your 2019 video. I can't believe I've been following your channel for so long! It doesn't feel as long as that.
I'm pleased that you have a new, sustainable backpack to replace the one that wore out. As for me, my 25 year old Kipling drawstring backpack and my Fjallraven ReKanken are still going strong and are currently being packed for our vacation in Germany. We're going on the Eurostar. Birmingham to Cologne; all rail travel!
I know a good trick for keeping your shades or prescription glasses to your head, by the way. Wind a pair of hair ties or around the arms of the glasses until they are almost too tight to wind any further. Then thread a small section of your hair through the hair ties, like a miniature ponytail. This keeps them clamped to your ears. Be careful when you remove them, though. Hold your hair section and ease the hair tie back to gently release your hair. Perhaps ask Madison to help you.
Good to see you looking well. I hope Madison is doing well too and of course Tippy the Cat! xx

Hello! I’d love to hear about your bug out bag & emergency kits and if you have found any sustainable swaps etc. I’m currently setting up first aid kits for my home & car and there is a lot of recommendations. I’m trying to reuse where I can but obviously with medical stuff the priority is hygiene.

So many great tips! Especially the tiffin, I'm surprised I never thought about bringing my own container for left overs after eating at a restaurant. However, I did think about asking a restaurant to prepare my take out in my own tupperwear rather than getting so many of those plastic containers. I ended up figuring that may be a bit much and maybe an odd request. Has anyone tried this? lol

Love hearing about tried and true. The sunscreen looks great and I really want to try a Tiffen this year. When my old sunglasses finally break I am going to get a pair from Pela. I am so lucky to live in Denver there are several zero-waste stores and local companies that make sustainable products. I love going to find new sustainable and refillable products at my local refill shop, Joyfill.

Pela is great for iPhone users but not much of android. Last I saw they didn't provide it. I got a new phone (my Samsung s10+ was on a verge breaking) they didn't even have the phone case so I honestly kinda give up. I do sent them monthly emails to give more options for other phone users that's not Apple products

Wow I don’t know if you did it for me since I asked last time for sustainable sunscreen options or if it was just by random chance but thanks for the tip!

There are so many comments but I wanted to say I have some Chums that keep my glasses on anytime I go swim in the beach/river/pool and will never leave the house without them. I do not know or think Chums are sustainable but I’m sure you can find a similar brand that is that gets the job done to keep your sunglasses on your person when you’re in the water. ☺️

good to know about the sunscreen because it's at where I buy my produce, Mari's Garden. I'd get it but I have so much sunscreen right now. I gotta admit, I'm not doing so well at plastic free July.

Pop socket also makes eco conscious pop sockets now. I’m not sure how conscious conscious but they’re more eco-conscious

Chico bags are soooooo good! My only issue is the way they bundle up and take up a lot of space in my purse. I would love for you to review Baggu because theirs fold up flat which would be better for smaller purses. Not going to stop using my Chico bags, but would love another option when I want to use a smaller bag.

I desperately wanted a phone case that had a card slot but I didn't want to buy a whole new one. So instead I found a magnetized cardholder that was supposed to attach to a special magnetized case and I just super glued to my regular phone case.
It works great and with the glue it actually attaches better than it would if I used the magnet.
