I was on my phone once, and my 12yr old son was watching a dinosaur video on RUclips I was listening and thinking this is different, I said..What is this it sounds like some sort of David Attenborough styles.. and he said its Owl Time! why does it sound like this I said, He narrates his own gameplay!.oh is that a thing I said then got drawn into watching and it was awesome, whenever there's nothing to watch on the streaming platforms I watch an Owl Time now, and just now he started jumping up and down and going crazy saying.. I've been waiting for this hes playing a Dilophosaurus! So thank for making my son happy and putting me on to something different for this old man.

Owl, you can stand over a blood droplet or footprint and tap Q to lock onto the trail and track the target more easily.

Facts. Dilos are op right now. Omni needs a stronger pounce or faster bleed or something.

If your anything different than a stego tho, its literally impossible to win. The max packsize is four for a reason, and even four dilos can easily take down every single apex (deinos are obviously out of the picture)
People are cheating using esp in the isle. Cant play the game anymore. Worst case i saw was a dilo that had a personal grudge against me, because i caught him once as a cera. He kept running straight to me, over and over. No matter where i went or hid, he would find me. I kept killing him though lol.

I am counting on you OwlTime to show us how to play Herrera without using it as a one trick pony! I like Herrera but I feel like it was turned into a gimmick puppet in Isle. Please show us a lot of new tricks and alternative tactics, soon! Not many could do it but you could!
Further thoughts: It seems like being against a Dilo is more fun than playing with it.
These carnivores would be great to add to Isle by developers:
Top picks:
1. Fasolasuchus : A second croc! One that high-walks, doesn't crawl, although could have a functional crouch. Same size, more stamina, more open to flanking, better obstacle traverse, different special ability? High-walking crocs are untapped gems of gameplay.
2. Titanoboa : How would the devs implement a snake without it being cartoonish? When flat on ground cannot be pounced or charged? Can bite, whip, and CONSTRICT? Slow? Tree climb but slow and drop ambush? A lot of undergrowth stealth given to a quite powerful animal? No legs to damage bones in falls? Vulnerable to bites from medium and large predators? Mostly just whole swallowing? Belly bulge?
3. Camarillasaurus : Small fast suchomimid! Isn't too large or loud for its own good and its hunger.
4. Kelenken Terror Bird : Non-cold blooded and needs to lose heat more importantly than gain. Deadly beak peck attack, kick, fast Raptor run agility but with wing aerodynamic balancing, better daylight eyesight than dinosaurs.
5. Arthropleura : Probably the coolest and largest land insect to implement. Get slightly hydrated from eating bloody meat, and just by being near water, of course normal drinking would hydrate much better.
Important:
1. Dimetrodon : Just funky enough to be a worthwhile iconic creature to add.
2. Concavenator : With a hump like that we gotta have him! An almost medium-sized attrition marathon runner who can store water and can swim well? So a raptor mixed with a camel and a seal? lol And still much less ugly than a Carnotaurus!
3. Proceratosaurus : Possible rare allowed and encouraged mixpacking with Monolophosaurus? The resulting cooperation holds the main benefit of applying different special abilities against the untrained eye of a prey.
Extra:
1. Ichtyovenator : A smaller Suchomimid rival to crocs, smaller than a Suchomimus.
2. Deinonychus : Maybe look into if there can be any place for a Deinonychus amidst all the raptors? If the raptors are liked enough.
3. Rhamposuchus : A just slightly more gharial-like rival to the Deinosuchus?
4. Inostrancevia alexandri : The largest Gorgonopsid.
5. Daeodon : Largest Entelodont.
Herbivore addition ideas that could be cool to add:
- Scutosaurus : A mini bulldozer without weapons, so no club like Ankylosaurids.
- Iguanodon : A devastating medium glass cannon with many tricks. And potentially having a lot of character.
Also keep in mind, (reacting to your "post-credits scenes") that supposedly you cannot apply your venom when only managing to bite tails!

gateways been interesting, lol your ability to not just get immediately 1 shotted by the stegos i applaud....does anyone else feel like gateway completely unbalanced the carnivore to herbivore ratio? maybe im just getting unlucky but i only ever see stegos and only around the migration spots, can NEVER find the others, literally havent found a single Beipiaosaur since gateway came out. Ill keep hunting (comin from a very patient deinosuchus player), good luck out there everyone, and thank you Owl for all your work. peace!
Its because they changeed the the way AI spawns and the hunger rate so playing as a Carnivore is pure pain. They also still haven't and probally never will nerf Stego yet they keep nerfing my boy the Carno.
With the new patch, its hard to starve. Only time that happenend was when I teamed up with 2 other carnos. we reached NE pond with empty stomach and dmg ticks, got to random food and got killed on our last breath. Other than that, the new ai spawning system is insanely good for feeding. not a good diet, but youll survive.@@dragonace119
gameplay still favors carnivores and its more fun, the larger map and release of multiple powerful carnivores doesn't help either
@@dragonace119 hunting a stego shouldnt be easy. Should be a pack vs a lonely stego, chase him, dont let him drink, etc. Besides stego is boring, so not for everyone. Its so strong that 90% of players dont challenge him
@@manuelvelasco2761 When you see a stego kill a full grown gator that got an ambush to the head on said stego and take very little damage then there's a problem.

It's not a hitbox problem, it's a latency problem. Basically every fight has it in TI, you can see it when he was fighting the carno as well. On the stego's screen it almost certainly looked like a normal hit.

I'd have personally let the other Stego's go just bc they'd have been food for later, and I personally like to play realistically but that's just me; that was still impressive your team played smart which is....Rare to say the least bc I stg I always get the people that don't know what they're doing in combat and either get themselves killed or do too much friendly fire. :'>

People who think the dilo is op and needs to be nerfed are not very good at combat in this game. I can take on a pack of 6 fully grown dilo as a solo Cerrato. Dilo is super weak with low hp. All you gotta do is bite one then stay on his tail and make him run. Rinse and repeat for all 5 of his boyfriends. They will either be dumb and keep fighting until you kill them, or they will run away to heal. Their Clone abilities are irrelevant. You can destroy them in a single bite before they have a chance to damage you.
Honestly the north east is the only place to play this game. You go anywhere else and its a barren wasteland with no food. Also, Dilo venom is way too op imo. Impossible to see anything, cant smell, lasts forever, etc. It removes all risk from the dilo. If they want to stop fighting, they can do so immediately with no risk of being caught. No other dino can do this and dinos fighting dilos cant chase them if they choose to retreat. Ive starved to death before after fighting and winning against dilos because it took so long for the venom to wear off.

Great video. And now can we finally get over the crap that stegos are OP. They have natural predator. One that can bite them 3 times and shoot magic invisible clones at them till they die. Balance.
Unsure if you know this but the summons only work when the victim is on stage 3 venom (purple), nonetheless this is a great vid!

It both scares me and gives me quite a lot of joy that an adult stego now has something to fear. Dilo is an utter nightmare.

Bruh they really added venom to the Dilo in this game? They are in love with their 30+ year old Jurassic park dinos aren't they. Dilophsaurus was a large apex predator in its ecosystem with a focus on muscle power and strong bite force to take down prey. It was bulky, long and tall, akin an allosaurus though of course quite a lot smaller. The strange mouth shape seen in most fiction is due to the most well known skull being crushed and distorted, it didn't actually look that way in life.
The dinosaurs are mutants anyways, it also makes hallucinations using "venom", the fuck did you expect? A realistic dinosaur sim that's going to have Super mutants and hunters running around (if they ever get that far lol)

This is just a little tip for when say a corpse has ended up in a bush. If you are large enough, you can hold G to drag a corpse out that is much larger than you. For example, a fully-grown Cera can drag a fully-grown Carno to wherever it pleases. I hope this helps!

I am a fan of your videos and all but I cannot stand carnivores overhunting. I know this is officials and there are no bodydown rules and there are no rules at all but still. You had 3 bodies and the last 2 kills were not 'survival of the fittest' and not 'having a lot of mouths to feed'. That is just bad sportsmanship. They didnt even bodyguard, just wanted to leave the 3 bodies for you. Those adult stegos did not need to die or if we want to be really lenient, then one of the adult stegos did not need to die. It was a waste of meat and you ruined the gameplay for 2 other people for no reason other than content.
I know I sound harsh but I play herbivore in a lot of games and official servers or not... carnivores always go all out and massacre an entire herd of herbivores just for fun, leaving the bodies to rot or despawn. And then people are wondering why so few people play herbivore and why they are starving to death. You displayed one reason. Dont be that guy. Play fair and make sure the game is fun for everyone involved.

In case you didn't know, it's a glitch when it's bright and foggy at night like it was in your vid. It's only foggy for you so you're at a disadvantage. Relogging usually fixes it.

A dilo pack and deinos are literally the only two beasts that can kill stegos relatively easily.
For the croc it's when stegos are crossing or at the edge of rivers especially the juvis, ambushing and drowning make for effective kill meathod.
For Dilos, working together to attack at different angles while the venom and bleed takes effect.
It's complicated if your team isn't coordinating but with a good pack you can do brutal damage to most herbivores and even the larger carnivores need to be wary or hide

I've got into fight with 10+ pack of Dilos playing as full grown Cera being with other full grown Cera. Mate from my pack died, but i have managed to fight with them around 15min killing 6 of Dilos without any stam left :D Finally I have decided they will not get me alive and just by my own decision i've became a food for deinos in nearby river :D
Hey Owl how are you getting the organs out on the larger animals? I found a fresh corpse and was biting it and no organs appeared, am I missing something?
As an evrima player, I hope they get balanced soon. Perfect growth diet from boar, deer, goat and BS wizard/mage mechanics is ridiculous. Meanwhile…I’ll keep killing them on my carno.
