I actually really enjoy the tournaments, both doing them myself and watching other people do them. On my late game play through I was doing them for fun and a bit of extra skill, especially for my companions.
I've found out that for me, often the best scout is "the black" from vlandia. She has solid combat stats and often rolls with high int and good basic scout and rougery
Trick for Sturgian Tournaments with 2hand spear. Back the opponent up against the spikes and just start overhead wailing on their face or spam at their feet. With the spikes at their back they have a hard time getting the “wind up” when attacking with spear. Also bash, attack, bash, attack etc. when they have their back against the spikes as well. So, I've noticed that it's not just a ruler quest, helping with the garrison. Any head of a vassal or important character has it. I've done it three times now for the southern Empire, not once did Rhagea ask me to do it. Then, of course, I join the southern empire and they start to fall. Feels like I'm playing with pre 1.41 Sturgia

I didn't realize how much the game jumps when you go from being a free agent to merc to vassal etc. Explains why Southern Empire is getting merced. I just went with whoever I married would be the faction I joined, and I married Rhagea's daughter so I went with them
Don't disregard companions with the steward skill. Also, train up companions on steward as much as you can. When they lead thier own parties, they will be able to have larger parties which means you will have larger armies when you summon them to your army.
Well I am not expecting perfect lets play and I love shenanigans, sometimes enemy gets lucky like headshot on horseback annoying but it is what happen when you running around with 50 men aiming at you.
44:16 "He's not very intimidating..." 🤣 That dude killed me 6 times during my first playthrough. I was always so low on health by the time I fought him that he'd take me out in one or two hits. It was a brutal first lesson in the importance of using my troops and tactics to succeed rather than just trying to solo everything.
He is pretty easy to beat though find something 80-90 in length walk diagonally and swing most unit especially melee can be beaten this way, don't bother to block you always run out of shield before AI does.
I bought my girl a miniature schnauzer puppy a yr n half ago and she named him floki. I was like ahhh so you were sweet on floki were you? We had binge watched vikings a few months before i bought the pup. Now i hear/say floki almost everyday. I love the dog tho, hes very intelligent, easy to train, ive got him addicted to the ball and hes a machine. I can run him for 2hrs straight until he cant stand up, then he is ready to go again after 15-20mins. By far the cutest dog ive ever seen and for a tiny dog he is an athletic machine.
Also I don't like how If I want to be at war with battania I cant also pick the chain of events to dismantle the empire be cause that option is linked to a guy in battania. Does that bug any of you guys or did I just get unlucky in how I wanted to play the sandbox? W8 you don't use reshade for all warhammer 2 stuff?? Its like a whole new game man It looks sooooo much better with reshade.
Nahhh this is way more enjoyable and fun. Mainly the thing is the RNG of arenas. I love the challenge of combat and I really enjoy the huge jump in learning curve for this style of character. I'm having SUCH a great time. On a sword n shield character, even realistic is quite easy

thank you so much for watching man! :) "RNG" stands for Random Number Generator in object based programming, it has made its way into the vernacular for video games just as a means of saying, "it's entirely random." In the context of my statement, just the hectic randomness of the arena heheh

RNG goes back at least as far as pascal and in C it was RNG, RAND, RND depending on the library you used. it was an inline library function before it was a math object. regarding youtube encoding for some people its 2 hours, for others its 4. Im sure theres a reason for the difference - but I don't know what it is.

Not if we're having a great time and enjoying it! It's mainly to combat the RNG of arena as you can't really predict what's going to happen.. And it was more egged on from chat. The arena is one of the best ways to build a foundation in the early game. Realistic is the difficulty, not a slogan for my approach to the campaign :) playing one handed and shield on realistic is easy, but two handed.. With no shield.. And on foot is particularly punishing hahahah
I said that already some time ago, but why do games get downvoted or bad reviews when they don't have save/quicksave function implemented? Some people even called it "cheating" when a tuber reloads lost tournaments or battles. Honestly, i don't get it.

About the video and what you said about the perk system: that is actually really fking reticulated that the devs have to have the community collectively tell them they want the skill/perk system to work for them to know they need to make a feature, like perks, actually do something... And worse that they seem to spin that as a good thing like "hey we listen to the community"... On another note whats with youtube refusing to let me stay on your channel??? i've yet to make a racist comment on the channel i'm afraid :( hahahah honestly i'm not sure man, the algorithm is an ever revolving door, wish i had a concrete answer for you. i think it's more that they have a LIST of things they want to tackle, fixes wise (it's on their forum), but they're adapting that list radically based off of community demand. so things they thought were fine, are actually too easy/hard and they're adjusting them on the fly!

It seems it is hard to find those kinds of playthroughs on RUclips, you seem to be the only one actually doing it. But if you are constantly reloading, that's not so interesting to watch, at least for me...
i mainly do it for arenas because of how much harder the beginning of the game is on realistic.. or when there's a really bad AI situation. in episode... i think... 6 or 7? i had to reload a battle a few times because the AI just piles into fights awkwardly where i had control of some, but not the others.. i try to relegate it to that, but i appreciate where you're coming from!
To which I explained is because of the nature of me streaming and not wanting to have people wait while I run slower. The stream all agreed that they'd rather the concession made on stuff like movement speed for the sake of the stream. Sorry friendo, the people hath spoken! But the battle difficulties were all very realistic
Just a thought 1st time viewer. You keep scratching your self. You keep picking your teeth. You are wearing a vest (looks tacky) You keep walking off screen and leaving the game just sitting there. And that is quite off putting. Just some constructive criticism other than that enjoyed the vid and you have a new subscriber.

I just reacted to calling someones style tacky, I find that rude. He's a sports guy, he wears sports stuff. Those things are actually really comfortable in hot weather, not that I get many days of that up here in Sweden :P
I understand you must dress appropriately for the weather. But for the 20 to 40 minutes he is in front of the camera present yourself well. ( not suggesting a suit or anything crazy but a nice 2 t shirt or something)

Top tip for using Two Handed weapons in tournaments. Never use over header or thrust. They are easily dodged while holding your weapon ready to swing.

you can't say this is realistic and then give yourself a 5% bonus to speed on the map...
