  • In the end om March, the annual hobby fair entered the wonderful facilities at Aeroseum air force museum! A lot of visitors, many interested people and the first 1/4 scale RC tanks that Minipansar had to show made their debut this year!
    Hans Karlsson showed a 1/4 scale version of his Bv206, in Korean camouflage. an incredible model with 3D-printed tracks, upscaled from his 1/6 model.
    I brought my 1/4 AMR-35 as an ongoing project and to show what it looks like when a scratch build is taking shape.
    Martin showed his KV-2, a fully 3D-printed model, upscaled from 1/10 to 1/6. The files can be found for free on Thingiverse.
    The event was fun and awesome as allways!
    Check out Martin's RUclips channel for more KV-2 action!

    Someone in your group really likes unpainted big cats hahaha! Nice to see the gang all together as always, and the new additions (wips) too.

    Great turn out of builders and models, excellent as always! Thats quite the man cave! I didn't see any 1/4 scale baby carriers tho?

      Haha, that will come, when the AMR 35 is done. 😊 The 1/4 scale was represented by my AMR as an ongoing project, and Hans showed his running 1/4 Bv206 in Korean camouflage, an incredible build.

    Wonderful stuff! Which vehicles are 1/4 scale? Is it only the S-tank and one of the snow carriers?

    • @builtbyWikander
      @builtbyWikander  4 месяца назад +2

      The S-tank is 1/5, but I brought my 1/4 AMR-35 as a ongoing project, and Hans Karlsson brought a large 1/4 scale version of the BV206 in Korean camouflage, an incredible build and the first rolling 1/4 model i our Minipansar community. I'll update the video info to make it more clear!

    Do you 3d print your tanks tracks and sprockets yourself or can you buy them from anywhere? As I’m converting a action man Scorpion tank to RC

    • @builtbyWikander
      @builtbyWikander  4 месяца назад

      Yes, I'm making them myself in FreeCad. There are some models out there where you can buy files and print yourself, some are even available for free. Have a look at Thingiverse and Cults3D.com!

    I would really love to know if possible how you get the scale dimensions of your tanks??

    • @builtbyWikander
      @builtbyWikander  14 дней назад +1

      @@BrianKruckow Sure! I first decide what tank I want to build and how big it is. Often the length is most important to know. I the try to find a 4-view drawing of the tank I want to make - often they can be found online. I then scale the drawing to 1/6 size using Photopea.com and use the drawing as template in FreeCad. Us a lot of reference images to see how stuff looks on the real thing. Often a 1/35 scale model, or picture of one being built, can be of much help.
